Sometimes women ask me how the work I do actually helps them feel better.

Over time I realised that what many women need after illness, menopause or major life change isn’t just a single conversation , it’s a structured space to gently rebuild steadiness.

That’s why I now offer a 6-session reset designed to support women who feel different, unsettled or unlike themselves after life shifts.

We begin by helping the nervous system settle.

When your body starts to feel safer again, it becomes much easier to work with the thoughts, emotions and identity changes that may have come with what you’ve been through.

Across the sessions we focus on:

• calming the nervous system
• creating space from anxious or overwhelming thoughts
• allowing emotions to move safely
• rebuilding confidence and self-trust
• strengthening boundaries and protecting your energy
• helping you move forward feeling steadier

This work isn’t about going back to who you were before.

It’s about helping you reconnect with yourself and feel grounded again.

Meditation doesn’t have to mean sitting perfectly still with a completely quiet mind.

Often it’s simply about giving your nervous system a moment to slow down.
Here are three gentle ways to begin:

🌿 Slow your breathing
Try breathing in for a count of four and out for a count of six. A longer exhale helps signal safety to the body.

🌿 Bring attention to your senses
Notice what you can see, hear or feel around you. This helps bring your nervous system back into the present moment.

🌿 Give yourself just a few minutes
You don’t need 20 minutes. Even two or three quiet minutes can help your body start to soften.

After illness, menopause or major life changes, the nervous system often needs time and patience to find steadiness again.

Small moments of pause can make a real difference.

Sometimes women ask me what actually happens when they come for support.

My work isn’t about “fixing” you.

It’s about helping you feel steady again.

Many of the women I work with are navigating things like illness, menopause, burnout or major life changes.

Often they tell me they feel different… more anxious, less confident, or simply unlike themselves.

The first thing we focus on is calming the nervous system.

When your body feels safer, everything else becomes easier.

From there we gently explore the thoughts, emotions and identity shifts that may have come with the changes in your life.

The aim isn’t to go back to who you were before.

It’s to help you feel steady, confident and connected to yourself again.

Sometimes what we call anxiety is actually a nervous system that hasn’t settled yet.

After illness, menopause, burnout or a major life change, the body can stay in a state of alert for longer than we expect.
Even when life looks “back to normal”.
You might notice things like:

🌿 feeling more on edge
🌿difficulty relaxing
🌿your mind jumping to worst-case scenarios
🌿feeling unlike yourself

This doesn’t mean you’re weak.
Your nervous system is adapted to protect you.

The good news is it can learn steadiness again.

But inside, you feel different.

If something has shifted in your life… you’re not imagining it.

Maybe you’ve been through a cancer journey.
Maybe menopause has changed your body, mood or confidence.
Maybe you’ve had a health scare, burnout, or another major life change.
Maybe you have had children, or your children have now grown up and you feel like you have lost yourself.

Maybe you simply feel lost not quite sure who you are anymore.

On the outside, you’re coping.

But inside you might feel:

• More anxious
• Less confident
• Easily overwhelmed
• Slightly braced all the time
• Not quite like yourself

And no one really talks about that part.

The part where the event is “over”, but your nervous system hasn’t fully settled.

As a CBT hypnotherapist, and someone who has experienced cancer myself, I understand how deeply life can shift after illness and major change.

I specialise in helping women rebuild calm, confidence and self-trust after life transitions.

Through structured, steady 1:1 sessions, we stabilise first.
Then we rebuild.

If this resonates with you, feel free to message me.
I’d love to have a conversation.
