The class has been made up with squences that focus on areas of the bodies we use a lot during the holidays, for example ;
πŸŽ„Poses that work to spine to help prepare us for carrying heavy loads like presents, trees and decorations.
πŸŽ„Poses that work the hips to help us when we're wrapping presents on the floor.
πŸŽ„Poses that give us energy for when we feel burn out from all the festive tasks the holiday bring.
πŸŽ„Poses that work the digestive tracks after eating big holiday meals.
πŸŽ„Poses that help bring us calm and steady so we can get restful sleep during these busy times.

Setting up good habits at a time that yoga and most other healthy habits get put on the back burner πŸ•― πŸ•‰

This week, we will be focusing on coordinating movement with breath. 🐝
This is the first step in bcoming more comfortable with the fundamental principles of yoga. Regardless of your experience level with yoga, returning to the basics, synchronizing movement with breath, and fostering a connection with your body, allowing for natural responses rather than striving to meet an expectationβ€”these are all essential for building a strong foundation before progressing further. β›°οΈπŸ•‰πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

This week's theme is Grounding. 🐝

With the holiday rush slowly starting to come into force, this class is a reminder to come back to calmness and self-care during a period of time we give a lot of ourselves to others. 🐌

Lots of today's poses will activate your sense of proprioception (the sense of where your body is and how it moves in space). This hopefully leads to more mindful and intentional movements, but also feeling more balanced and settled. 😌

EVENING CLASS ONLY

With the holiday rush slowly starting to come into force, this class is a reminder to come back to calmness and self-care during a period of time we give a lot of ourselves to others. 🐌

Hello all, welcome to the new winter timetable! 🐝 ❄️

Gentle yoga will now be at 1pm
Chair yoga will now be at 2:15pm
Restore & Rest will continue at 6pm

Today's theme is whole body, we won't be focusing on any one area in particular just getting the body moving in tune with our breath. 🌬

*Next week will be the first week of the winter timetable* ❄️

This week's theme is Supine (lying on your back)
Some days yoga may feel like a treat; you want to get yourself on the mat and move. Other days, yoga may feel like a chore or a self-indulgence you don't have time for. Even when we know it will make us feel better, your head or schedule resists it.

This week's class is a whole lesson of supine postures. For the days where everything feels heavy or days where the only time you have to yourself is bedtime, these postures will be perfect.

Don't be fooled into thinking all these poses will be easy. We'll be mixing stretching and strengthening poses to practice creating a whole body workout.

This week's theme is shoulders, with a nice mix of stretching and strengthening exercises. 🐝

We'll also be adding a bit more movements than usual touching on lymphatic draining, vagus nerve stimulation and breathing with movement. πŸ’ƒ

No matter your job, hobby and pass times our arms and shoulders are almost always involved so giving a bit more attention and movement to these areas is always a good idea. πŸ’ͺ

Really looking forward to being back on the mat with you again πŸ•‰

I can not apologise enough, due to ongoing health issues I am not able to teach today, therefore all classes today are cancelled.

Our wonderful NHS is many things but fast is not one of them hopefully not much longer until I'll have some insight and some treatment.
