Laurel Lane Reflexology

Laurel Lane Reflexology Reflexology is a holistic complementary therapy which works on the feet and hands to help heal the whole person and not just the illness. The list goes on....

Reflexology is a complementary therapy, which works on the feet and hands to help heal the whole person (body, mind & soul) and not just the prevailing problem/illness. It is proven that 80% of all illness is brought on by stress. Reflexology encourages the body to relax completely and this is when the body is best able to renew, repair and heal itself of illness. Studies have shown that reflexology can be very effective for sleep disorders, migraines, arthritis, asthma, hormonal imbalances and depression.

Not forgetting the wonderful fertility treatmen 👣

Does reproductive reflexology actually work?

That's a fair question, to answer that we are sharing an update from one of our newly trained members:

"I woke up to my 3rd positive pregnancy test this morning. I’ve worked with 4 fertility clients since March and 3 of them have fallen pregnant. I absolutely love the work I’m doing and after a fab menopause training course with Barbara yesterday I can’t wait to get started with my perimenopausal, menopausal and post menopausal clients! Thank you for all of your help, support and advice ❤️"

So there you go, proof with 3 out of 4 clients becoming pregnant. This isn't a one off either. We regularly hear from our members that their clients have become pregnant.

Understanding your monthly cycle 🧡

Understanding your monthly cycle 🧡

Understanding your cycle isn’t just helpful. It’s empowering.

That’s why we train our reproductive reflexologists to understand every phase of the menstrual cycle, so they can support you more effectively on your fertility journey.

If you're trying for a baby, the follicular phase is key. This is the first half of your cycle, lasting around 7 to 21 days. It begins when a group of follicles reach the final stage of a 100-day development, triggered by follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

FSH supports follicle growth and influences your cycle length and period flow. As follicles mature, they produce oestrogen, which boosts mood, energy, libido, sleep, skin health, and metabolism.

In women with PCOS, excess testosterone can block FSH, stopping follicles from maturing and preventing ovulation. This makes conception more difficult.

Charting your cycle for three months can reveal patterns. With the right support, nutrition, lifestyle changes, and reproductive reflexology, the follicular phase can often be regulated.

Research shows regular reflexology helped 72 percent of women with PCOS conceive, with a 57 percent live birth rate.

Balancing this phase supports both fertility and overall wellbeing.

Endometriosis Awareness 📢

Endometriosis Awareness 📢

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month.

Endometriosis UK have shared that 1 in 10 women are affected at birth in the UK, yet so many are unaware of the condition and it's impact.

They have created a symptom checker on their website https://www.endometriosis-uk.org/symptom-checker

Endometriosis UK says:

"Our 60-second symptom checker asks questions about what you're experiencing and identifies common symptoms of endometriosis.

When you’re finished, the checker will automatically generate a letter from Endometriosis UK to share with your GP. We hope that this will help you to start or continue conversations with your GP, help GPs understand what you’re experiencing and potentially support a diagnosis of endometriosis."

Please share this important post to help reach more women who might be in need of this information.

Can recording your temperature help with conception?
Why not have a read and find out 🧡

It might seem strange that taking your temperature every day can help you conceive but trust us, it can really make a difference.

There is something called the "Basal Body Temperature" and as you move through different phases of your reproductive cycle your basal body temperature changes at the different stages.

Our reflexologists encourage women to check this daily and record it. When you wake, before you rise you take your temperature and make a note of it.

The figures can be plotted and with the help of our trained reflexologists we can map out your cycle and apply our treatments at the right time. We also see the improvements as happened to the lady below.

A woman came to us after trying for 18 months to have a baby. She had a very irregular menstrual cycle, PCOS and a progesterone deficiency. She was waiting for an appointment at her local fertility clinic.

We asked her to start basal body temperature charting immediately and began treating her on a weekly basis.

Whilst following our treatment protocols to support each stage of the cycle we saw that ovulation occurred more regularly, in fact each stage of the cycle had started to improve.

8 months later the lady became pregnant and after a straightforward and healthy pregnancy, gave birth to a little girl 😍

And that's how taking your temperature can help you conceive.

How does Reproflexology™ work?

The primary care is centred around the people rather than symptoms.

We combine conventional and complementary therapies which focus on treating the whole person, rather than just isolated symptoms. This is called "integrative medicine".

Reproflexology™ uses specific and prescriptive treatment protocols to address fertility health for both men and women.

This includes providing support to:

- regulate menstrual cycles and ensure that each stage is functioning at its best
- improve s***m production and functionality
- assist any underlying conditions – male or female
- track improvements by using results from medical testing
- enhance both physical and mental health to optimal levels

Our Reproflexologists are all trained to our exacting standards and offer excellent care. Helping our families conceive naturally or with medical assistance.

You can find your local Reproflexologist via our global directory on our website.

If someone you care about, a friend or family member, is struggling with fertility it can be difficult to know how to support them.

Create a safe space for them to share and really listen. It can be tempting to offer positive stories of successful pregnancies that you've heard about or tell them they've got time.

Whilst this might feel like your helping it could add to the pressure they are already feeling. Leading them to question why it hasn't happened yet. Stress is something we want to reduce when a person is trying for a baby.

You could offer to attend the difficult appointments with them. Especially if they are for fertility treatments or if they are perhaps receiving results of testing, even just sitting in the waiting room shows how much you care and how much you support them with their journey.

It's in our nature to want to solve problems and relieve loved ones when they are sad, worried and upset. The best thing you can do is be there, let them feel and sit with them.
