Cervical Cancer Prevention Week - 19th January - 23rd January
Cervical Cancer Prevention Week is a reminder that regular cervical screening saves lives. Cervical cancer is highly preventable, and screening helps detect early cell changes caused by HPV before they can develop into cancer. Women aged 25–64 are encouraged to attend their cervical screening appointment to protect their health and future—early detection means simpler treatment, better outcomes, and peace of mind.
Why cervical screening is important for women aged 25–64:
Detects abnormal cell changes before they turn into cancer
Identifies high-risk HPV early
Greatly reduces the risk of developing cervical cancer
Screening is quick, routine, and often lifesaving
Early treatment leads to better outcomes and fewer complications
If you’re due, don’t delay - your health matters 🩷
