In this clip Dr Sanjay Gupta, a world renowned leading neurosurgeon explains that pain isn’t an unpleasant sensory & emotional experience. He confirms that pain is not just a physical sensation…

He goes on to say that it is the brain that decides whether you feel pain or not, not the body. This explains why we can change our response to pain by working with the mind.

He finishes off by clarifying the difference between acute pain, which is where we touch something hot for example and we pull our hand away because it hurts and chronic pain, which he describes as that pain memory being played over and over again. If it’s a memory it is the brain replaying an event in the past, it is not an indication of current danger or damage.

This is great news because it means that we can work with the brain the change that memory, and rewrite it.

If you have a pain memory that you are ready to rewrite, write READY in the comments below and I will be in touch 🌿

Pain is your body’s alarm system.
When something’s wrong, it’s designed to alert you.

But sometimes the alarm gets stuck.
It keeps ringing, even when there’s no fire.

That’s what neural pathway pain is like.
The pain is real — but it’s not always a sign of damage.

🌿 And just like a stuck smoke alarm, with the right tools, the signal can be reset.

đź’Ś Save this as a reminder: your body is not broken.
👇 Does the smoke alarm analogy make sense to you?

Dedicated to my Dad, who left us far too soon, many years ago, still missed every day ❤️

A FATHER

A father is the roof
the umbrella for the team
with shoulders strong as mountains
and laughing eyes that gleam

the chaser of the monsters
the fixer of the broken
the never ending patience
a love more shown than spoken

a father is the one
big enough to wear those shoes
not always from the start
some fathers find and choose

but never do they run
or fail to face the fight
a father is the force
the shield from day to night

a love like this is gifted
not everyone is blessed
so hug your father tight
each more tighter than the rest

and if you cannot hold
your father anymore
look deep inside your soul
he’s there within your core

so here’s a day for you, Dad
let us shower you with love
to each and every father
on this earth and up above

I am proud to announce that I have completed the "Reign of Pain" course held by Dr Howard Schubiner through the University of Michigan.

This course has been a powerful consolidation of a lot of the knowledge I have acquired through my own pain journey, my continuous professional development learning and working with my amazing clients, who always inspire and teach me even more about this debilitating condition.

If you would like to know how I can help you get back to living your life without chronic pain please book a discovery call with me.

This certificate verifies my successful completion of Michigan State University's "Reign of Pain" on Coursera

Do you get the message here?

Can you accept the FACT that it’s never too late? That all that you’ve done, has lead you to this point?

Can you look in the mirror and tell yourself “I got this!”
