☘️ ‘Yoga for Self and Society’ - International Yoga Day 2024 theme!
As a Yoga teacher in NHS (National healthcare service) in UK and a mother of Special child, I feel a deeper connection with this year’s yoga theme- ‘Yoga for Self and Society’.
On a personal level, yoga enhances physical health through improved flexibility, strength, and balance. It supports cardiovascular health, boosts immunity, and promotes better posture and body alignment. Mentally, yoga is a powerful tool for stress reduction and mental clarity. It brings more self-awareness, mindfulness, and inner peace.
For society, yoga encourages a culture of health and wellness. Most importantly, Yoga’s principles cultivates kindness and compassion, so we can create a more peaceful and harmonious world, both on and off the yoga mat.
Telling you from my personal experience Yoga is really a transformative practice, please give it a try. I promise you will never regret it.
Establishing a routine helps in making yoga a habit.
