GoPerform Sports Injury and Performance Centre GoPerform is a Sports Injury and Performance Centre in Reading. We look forward to working with you.

Our team worked together for several years as part of the first team staff at Reading FC. Between them they have over 30 years of experience working in Elite and Professional Sport for a variety of teams and organisations. GoPerform aims to bring this Elite Level of Athlete Support to the sporting population of Berkshire.

Due to increasing demand we have developed a Learn to Gym workshop for 11 - 16 year old boys & girls who want to start using their local gym.

The gym can be a transformational place when built on a foundation of proper technique and basic training knowledge. We want to ensure your teen develops the skills to train effectively while avoiding the pitfalls and errors often magnified by social media.

What's included:

* Practical coaching on foundational lifts ( squats, hinges, pushes & pulls).
* Learn how to structure a workout
* Introduction to training principles
* Take home structured training plan
* Q&A (with parents) to address common myths & concerns.

Cost:

Β£30 - each workshop is limited to 15 places

When:

12.30 - 14.30 | Saturday 23rd of May

Pete Czernuszka is an awesome Sports Massage Therapist and long time friend of GoPerform. He has a Level 4 qualification in sports massage and is also a certified personal trainer. He has lots of experience working with people from all backgrounds as well as athletes, including most recently with the 1st team at Rams Rugby Club.

We're delighted that he has agreed to join us. His first clinic is next Tuesday 2nd May and his diary is now available to book into online. Please give him a warm welcome when you see him.

As well as individualised training and coaching in every session, members on our Elevate Programme have access to state-of-the-art altitude training.

Eleanor made the most of Elevate in the lead up to climbing Kilimanjaro.

This kind of altitude training is great for reducing the risk of altitude sickness through pre-acclimatisation, but it's also a brilliant tool to help push through training plateuas.

πŸƒ Pre-Boston Marathon πŸ¦„ lactate threshold testing with Ben.

After a successful block of training and a speedy Bath Half time, Ben was back in the building to re-test his lactate threshold and VO2 max, both of which have improved significantly πŸ“ˆ

This data will give him confidence and some accurate pacing guidelines when running Boston in a couple of weeks.
