Soft tissue therapy is so much more than just sports massage. Soft tissue therapists are trained to assess your posture and range of movement, and tailor your treatment based on the findings. A combination of powerful tools including muscle energy techniques, soft tissue release, neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy and myofascial release are used, as well as deep tissue massage. Treatment can be of huge benefit to nearly all of us living a fast paced Western lifestyle, spending many hours of the day at desks, in cars and hunched over our smart phones and tablets. All of this time leaning forwards and looking down creates huge tensions in the neck and back, and this contributes hugely to back and neck pain, and headaches. I also treat many sportsmen and women, including regularly competing triathletes, rugby players and have a voluntary post with the Oxford University Women's Lightweight Rowing Club, working with them throughout their 2015-2016 training season in preparation for the 2016 Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race. I would be very happy to chat further about the benefits of massage and soft tissue therapy if you have any questions at all.

Excited to be invited back to the serene Yoga Reading for my new workshop “C-Section recovery at any age”.

My aim is to create a beautiful safe space for you to learn how you can take care of your scar to reduce tightness, pain, numbness and, yes, appearance through some mindful massage, movement and breathing work.

This works wonders regardless of how long ago you had your children. If you feel you would benefit from reconnecting your scar with the rest of your core, I hope to see you there.

Sat July 5th, 3-5pm at Yoga Reading 💖

I just love everything about this. Written and commissioned by a local Reading poet, this is a celebration of our perfectly imperfect bodies and a reminder to us all to ditch the worries and pressures of looking and feeling a certain way, to speak more openly and to support each other.

Love women supporting women. Brilliantly put Kay Loveday ❤️

This is my body. This is just me. Every bump, every mark, every freckle you see.

***only 3 spots left***

Starts this Friday 0930-1015

Give your pelvic floor and core some love and attention with a class focused on this hugely ignored and hugely important part of our bodies.

We’ll be using the latest evidence based approaches to pelvic floor health and no the answer is NOT 45 mins of kegels! 😵‍💫

If you’ve been trying to address your pelvic floor symptoms with squeezes and had no luck, you are focused on strengthening an area that in all probability is already too tight, over sensitised and already holding on for dear life. My approach to pelvic floor issues combines

💪🏼Functional strengthening exercises based on actual REAL LIFE movements

🌬️Breathing exercises to CALM the nervous system and get the diaphragm, core and pelvic floor working together

🧘‍♀️Hypopressives for strength, tone, lift and fascial RELEASE throughout the body

🪷Stretching and natural movements to DOWN-REGULATE the body’s “stuck” patterns of gripping, tightness, pain and fear

All this in one fun class with access to your teacher, a women’s health specialist for advice and bespoke exercises targeted at your specific areas of concern

Give me a call if you are interested in learning more! Or book online at the link in the pic 🫶🏼
