Ché Bond is an inspiring and vibrant woman from South Africa with a profound love for the ocean and a deep-seated penchant for adventure. From an early age, she felt an intrinsic connection to nature, discovering that the soothing presence of water provided her with immense healing and inner tranquility. In the year 2000, Ché found her way to yoga during a period of uncertainty and search for purpose in her life. Initially, her yoga practice was centered on physical movement, offering her a sense of calm and equilibrium. However, as her journey progressed, she realized that yoga was much more than just poses; it became a powerful inward journey, allowing her to explore her mind and return to her true self. After welcoming her second daughter in 2013, Ché experienced a transformative realization—that her true calling was to share the beauty and depth of yoga with others. This epiphany led her to begin her training as a yoga teacher at a Buddhist center in London. Since then, Ché has dedicated her career to guiding others in finding their passion, gaining clarity, and seeking deeper meaning through the practices of yoga and meditation. Now based in Berkshire, UK, Ché teaches weekly classes in person and online, Evening & Day Retreats in Knowl Hill and Retreats abroad for adults from all backgrounds who are looking to discover and reclaim their inner power. Her sessions are filled not only with practical yoga techniques but also with rich philosophical insights that encourage students to embark on their own inward journey to uncover their truths. If you find yourself at a crossroads in life, Ché can help create the space need to identify what brings joy into life and facilitate the way forward. Ché passionately believes that the answers we seek are already within us, and through her teachings, she empowers individuals to navigate their inner landscapes, allowing them to discover their true passions and life's purpose.

As we gracefully bow to the closing energy of the Year of the Snake, we honor a profound journey of inner transformation — the shedding of old layers, the deep healing, and the quiet rebirth that unfolded beneath the surface.

This year taught us to trust our intuition, release what no longer serves us, and embrace transformation one mindful breath at a time. 🐍✨

Now, we gallop into the Year of the Horse — a thrilling leap from introspection to dynamic action.

The Horse calls forth movement, freedom, expansion, and fierce courage.

It’s time to leap forward, follow your soul’s true path, and reclaim your inner strength. 🐎🔥

In the wisdom of yoga, both phases are vital:
We journey inward to rediscover our essence…
and then we emerge to live boldly and authentically.

May your practice embody the softness of the Snake
and the strength of the Horse.

May you move with intention, breathe with clarity,
and let your spirit run wild into the new year.

Are you ready to ride this next wave of energy? 🌙✨

Coming back to Koh Samui 20 years on has been quite the experience.
The island feels almost unrecognisable — development everywhere, energy turned right up, and at this busy time of year it’s wonderfully alive… and wonderfully hectic.

Yet one thing that still stops me in my tracks is something so small.
The little spirit houses — mini temples placed outside homes, shops, and businesses — quiet reminders woven into daily life.

They bring me back, again and again, to my favourite Buddhist teaching:
✨ Let go of anything that is not love.

A gentle invitation in the midst of noise, change, and movement.
To soften.
To release.
To choose love — always.

In a world that constantly pushes you to speed up… your body gently urges, “Pause to reconnect with yourself.”

Life is a whirlwind of emotions, thoughts, conversations, and expectations — yet we seldom stop long enough to truly process them.

To allow the body to breathe.
To let the mind find stillness.
To let the heart express itself.
Slowing down isn’t a sign of laziness.
It’s about alignment.

It’s the moment you stop racing past your own needs and finally embrace who you truly are.

When you ease your pace, even for a few moments each day, you reconnect with the essence beneath the chaos —
the grounded you,
the present you,
the intuitive you.

So take a deep breath.

Release your shoulders.

Embrace a slower rhythm today.

You might be amazed at the clarity that unfolds when you finally give yourself the space to arrive. 🌱✨

I found this lovely little Shala in Koh Lanta that is actually used for Muay Thai training, thankfully it was early morning and I had the whole place to myself. It’s easy to fall out of routine on holiday so practice when you can and enjoy the time on your mat. I always feel better for it. How’s your practice gone this holiday?

Your yoga mat is more than a space to move —
it’s a mirror.
A quiet, honest reflection of what’s happening within you.
How you breathe.
How you react.
How you soften.
How you resist.
It all shows up here first.
Some days the mat reveals your strength.
Other days it shows your tenderness, your fatigue, your need to slow down.
Neither is right or wrong — both are truth.
The mat doesn’t judge.
It simply reflects.
It invites you to meet yourself with awareness, compassion, and curiosity.
Because the way you show up on your mat
is often the way you show up in your life.
So step onto your mat today not to perform…
but to notice.
To listen.
To learn the language of your own energy.
The mat is a mirror.
What is it showing you today? 🧘🏻‍♀️✨

Merry Christmas, beautiful souls 🎄✨
May today wrap you in warmth, presence, and simple moments of joy.
Thank you for being part of this heart-led community — may peace, love, and light meet you exactly where you are today ❤️🎄🤶🏼✝️🙏🏻 I asked a friend to take a yoga photo for me and we got the giggles. I hope today brings many of these to you and your family.

🌍 What does it truly mean to be grounded and anchored to the Earth?
Being grounded is so much more than a state of being.

It's a living relationship with the Earth beneath your feet.

It’s the feeling of belonging, of steadiness, of being held.

When we’re grounded, our energy settles, our thoughts clear,
and we move through life from a place of calm inner knowing.

But when we lose our connection to the Earth, it often feels like this:
⚡️ Your thoughts race and spiral.
⚡️ You feel scattered, overwhelmed, or easily triggered.
⚡️ Anxiety sits in the chest or belly like a tight knot.
⚡️ You’re constantly “in your head” and not in your body.
⚡️ You feel unsteady, restless, or emotionally reactive.
⚡️ Even small things feel like too much.

This is the body’s way of saying, “Come home. Slow down. Sink into something steady.”

🌿 So how do we return to that grounded, rooted state?

Here are a few of my favourtie ways;

🌱 1. Doggie Walks
In nature, no phone or air pods. Walking mindfully with the natural world.
💨 2. Breathe low and slow.
Deep belly breaths bring your awareness back into your body and settle the mind. Exhale longer than you inhale.
🧘🏻‍♀️ 3. Gentle Yoga
Childspose is the best pose to do when you need to ground yourself.
🔥 4. Anchor through your senses.
Notice what you can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch. Sensory awareness pulls you back into the present moment.
🕯️ 5. Create a grounding ritual.
Light a candle, place your hand on your heart or belly, journal, or sit in stillness. Ritual creates a sense of safety and rootedness.

The more we practice grounding,
the more balanced, centred, and connected we become —
not just to the Earth, but to ourselves.

Are you ready to find your balance? 🌿✨

✨ 5 Power Poses to Build Strength ✨

If you want to feel strong, grounded, and powerful from the inside out — these five poses are your go-to. Each one lights up your legs, core, balance and focus, helping you build both physical and energetic strength.

🔥 1. Crescent Lunge with Cactus Arms
Opens the heart while firing up the legs + core.
Strength meets expansion.
🔥 2. Warrior III
A full-body challenge for balance, stability and mental focus.
Strong legs, strong mind.
🔥 3. Half Moon Pose
Helps build outer hip strength, core stability and confidence.
Find your edge, then breathe into it.
🔥 4. Standing Splits
Lengthens the hamstrings, strengthens the standing leg, and asks you to trust yourself as you tip forward.
🔥 5. Warrior II
The ultimate power stance — grounded, steady, unshakeable.
A reminder that you can hold strong even when life asks more of you.

These poses aren’t just shapes…
They are invitations to rise, to focus, to feel your own strength from the inside out.
Step onto your mat.
Take up space.
Own your power. 💫

Honour the return of the light ✨

The Winter Solstice marks the longest night, a sacred turning point when the sun begins its steady return. 🌑 Pause with intention—light a candle, sit in stillness, or step into the night sky. Reflect on what you're ready to release and the light within you waiting to grow. This is your moment to rest, to honour endings, and to welcome new beginnings.
