Our Christmas Eve training has now been running for well over 10 years and has become a festive tradition for all who attend each year.

It’s not about squeezing in a workout before Christmas , it’s about being amongst friends, training partners, and those you’ve helped push all year, who have done the same for you.

People you’ve laughed with and shared tough times with too. Health involves many facets, but being part of something is definitely one of them.

Let’s talk self-defence, or more realistically, learning to fight.

At Gecko, we obviously push all the big rocks of health and wellbeing: eating well, training consistently, recovering properly, etc. But we strongly believe that learning to protect yourself should be on that list too. Why?

Because it’s not just about staying calm and reacting appropriately if a situation ever arises, which, let’s be honest, could save your life. It’s also about the confidence and mental toughness that comes from knowing you could handle that situation if it did happen. And here’s the thing: having that confidence often means you notice danger long before it becomes a problem, giving you the chance to avoid it altogether.

Pictured here is ._.mckay . She’s 16 and has been boxing with us for a few years now, and her progress has been incredible. Self-defence might not be the first thing people think of when discussing health fundamentals, but we believe learning how to fight absolutely deserves a place on that list.

Every year, we’re blown away by the generosity of our brilliant clients.

Once again, we’re raising money for the Trussell Trust, and it feels more important than ever.

Today we say goodbye to this little doughnut 🍩

Matt has been a key part of the coaching team at Gecko for the last 5 years.

As one of our most popular PTs, he’s played an integral role in developing our much loved boxing programme.
