Helen Attwooll trained for 4 years full time at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, one of the best acupuncture colleges in Europe, and was taught by some of the most well known acupuncturists in the United Kingdom. She has a BSC in Acupuncture and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council. She is also a fully qualified yoga teacher with a particular interest in rehabilitation after injury. I’m off on my holiday now for three weeks of r&r in my happy place. I will be catching up with friends, spending quality time with my family, reading, sleeping, hiking, eating and having fun. My patients often ask me how acupuncture works and what it works for. Attached is an excellent article with a great diagram showing the mechanisms of acupuncture from a physiological point of view. Of course, a lot of patients just know it works for them but if you are a bit more science minded this is an excellent read.
