Wrapping Up Our Step Up Challenge 🚶

For our colleagues who took part in the Royal Voluntary Service step up challenge in August, it is now time to upload your step count and request your final donations!

This week, we’re shining a spotlight on our incredible Payroll team, the unsung heroes who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Here’s what our Head of Payroll shared about the role:

💬 “The job involves far more than straightforward salaries. We handle complex calculations — we must correctly calculate sick pay, maternity pay, overtime, and holiday pay, which is particularly complex for employees with irregular hours.”

💬 “Resolving complex payroll queries and ensuring everything is correct is a challenge and very rewarding when payroll has been completed and all employees have been paid.”

💬 “If I didn’t work in Payroll, the job that I would like to try for a day would be to work in a Cattery or as a Travel Consultant.”

🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ Support Stuart’s Triathlon Challenge for Tom Harrison House! 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Stuart, one of our Operation Managers, is taking on an Olympic-distance triathlon for an amazing cause.

He'll be aiming to complete a 1.5km swim, 37km cycle, and 10km run — all in just 5 weeks of training! 💪

Stuart has taken on this challenge to support a cause close to his heart: Tom Harrison House, a specialist addiction recovery centre for military veterans.
