It’s me, hi 👋, ✨I’m the one who doesn’t have time to post on insta ✨, it’s me…

It’s been a busy few weeks, supporting families every week until Christmas🎄and I’m absolutely loving it! 💚

As I signed off a first time mama from the complete course last week (who has been the biggest joy to spend time with 🥲), I now move on to another family. The joy of birth truly is that it’s constant. 👶✨

I also hosted ‘An Introduction to Hypnobirthing’ at in Caversham last week. Being supported by local businesses that truly believe in what I’m doing is just everything. I adore Alex and Claire (Fourbears’ owners 📚), so please pop in and support them this festive period. They’re truly the best people, who support our community constantly through a variety of events (even opening their doors to those looking for company this Christmas Day 🥲🎄). 📚

I’ve also begun the ‘soft launch’ of Christmas in our home. A slow and steady install because I’ve learned that with little kids, if you try and do it all in one day, everyone gets a little flustered… 🤣😅

And alas, we have begun the obligatory festive garden centre trips (any amazing ones I should know about??🎄) and started our Christmas shopping. Have you started/finished yours?? 🎁

Fun fact… 💡💡💡

Did you know that your jaw and your pelvis are linked?! 😍🤩👏

When we relax our jaw, we ease tension from our pelvis.

We want our bodies to be as soft and relaxed during labour, to help the physiological process of birth.

If we work with our body in labour, instead of against it (i.e. breath holding and tensing up), then we can support it to do truly wonderful things. 👶

Don’t work HARDER to give birth, work SMARTER… 💡📈👶

When we’re new to the concept of birth without fear, we can still be stuck believing that birth can only be one kind of way. Typically that’s envisioning ourselves writhing in pain, screaming out profanity…🤬🤯

But that’s a fearful birth… that’s the absolute end of the spectrum where a mother has fully lost control of herself… and her birth space.

Birth can (and should) be calm. It should be fluid. It should be in the control of the birthing person.

This can 100% be your reality… wherever and however you give birth. 🫶

Your experience of pregnancy and birth deserves to be a good one. 🥹❤️

There are no second chances.

No re-dos.

You don’t want to look back, 50 years from now, reciting tales of trauma from the labour room. That sh*t will stick with you for life. It doesn’t have to be that way, and you are not that person.
