Sometimes I think that you think if you just walk past the gym you'll achieve the gains you're after, or if you attend an exercise class and use the lightest dumbbells, you know the 1kg pink ones, you are actually doing something, you know “something is better than nothing,” well if that something is with little to no effort, it's actually just like doing nothing. The fact is you need to consistently do the work to achieve the goals you said you want.
