Riga, here I come. 🇱🇻
This May, I will be in Riga for Scent + Art Festival 2026, taking place from 6–10 May at Creative Factory Veldze.
Bringing together 97 artists from 32 countries, the festival explores how olfactory perception can expand contemporary art and open new ways of engaging with the world around us. Under the theme “Looking Through the Fog of Uncertainty,” the programme reflects on war, climate change, and shifting values through a multisensory lens.
During the festival, I will be contributing in three ways:
1️⃣ Exhibition
“A Time for Peace, A Time for Waltz” an olfactory installation that reflects on the passage from conflict towards peace, exploring rhythm, memory, tension, and moments of calm within uncertainty.
2️⃣ Workshop
“Olfactory Translation: From Concept to Composition” a session on translating ideas, images, and narratives into scent, and on how fragrance can function as an artistic language.
3️⃣ Mentoring Sessions
One-to-one conversations with artists who are interested in working with scent in their own creative practice.
For me, this festival is not only about smell, but about dialogue, experimentation, education, and exchange. It is a space where contemporary art can be experienced beyond the visual, and I am very much looking forward to sharing my work, meeting fellow artists, and connecting with visitors in Riga.
