Old friends, deep lyrics, and a waltz in the making. 🎹✍️

Met with my favourite English teacher today to polish the words of the first song/piece I’ve written for a very special project. She loved the depth of the piece, and her dancer’s soul gave it the rhythm it needed.

Who knew I could write a song? Maybe years of writing history through smell finally gave me the words.

Next stop: Scent Art Festival 2026, Riga. 🇱🇻

Three generations. One blending table. Three distinct scents.

Last week, I hosted a grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter for a bespoke workshop. Watching them work side-by-side, you could see the contrasts in the lives they’ve lived and then smell those differences in the beakers.

From the grandmother’s elegant Earl Grey & Ambergris accord to the granddaughter’s rebellious Candyfloss & Leather mix, the results were fascinating. I call it an “invisible family portrait.”

Not my brightest idea…
Having a gastroscopy the day before an exhibition opening was bold, but clearly not wise.

I skipped the anaesthesia so I’d feel “fresh” for tomorrow, instead I look like I’ve gone a round in a boxing ring 😂

Still, nothing will stop the opening.

While the show explores molecules, devotion, and decay, the cross is where everything becomes tangible; weight, texture, and the reality of the body.

I’m working with weathered wood and hand finishing each element to achieve the right balance and proportion.
