A little reminder that our Chair Yoga sessions (for over 55s) continue tomorrow morning 11am to 12pm, our host Janice will need a little information from new starters via a small information form, but will not take too long to discuss and complete.

These take place in 'The Living Room' and once the session comes to a gentle end you are welcome to stay for refreshments

Here is a reminder of the Children's Social Groups that take place through the week. These are term time and we plan extra activities, trips and groups over the school holidays.

All our Childrens Groups are back to normal after the Christmas and New Year Break - we hope you have had a fantastic time, with lots of fun!

Why not join us in the new year for our over 55's social group. Its a lovely way to spend time with others and get out of the house. The group is free and we provide, bingo, a quiz, snacks and warm drinks. If you would like to find out more drop us an email office@linkct.org.uk

They take place each Thursday 4pm to 5.30pm - term time only at The Link Charitable Trust

This is aimed at 10 to 13years (or there abouts) who prefer quiet gaming and role play and would like to meet others with similar interests

Our Walking group braved the icy cold weather on Tuesday and had a chat with a land yacht skipper enjoying our wonderful beach, we often see them from our office window and understand why they come to one of the longest beaches in the area.

He had travelled over from Elvington near York where there is York Land Yacht Club, this is there web page if you would like more information on this extreme sport

We are excited to be working with 'Taste of Africa' to bring some activities to Redcar and Cleveland.

Our first session is - Heritage Hair: Our Crown, Our Story.

This is a creative cultural project celebrating the meaning, beauty and heritage of Black Hair.

There are 2 sessions on Thursday 22nd January and Thursday 5th February 4pm to 6pm.

Our Parenting Support group is to take place at The Palace Hub in Redcar starting in January. This session provides a platform for support and open discussion, complemented by a weekly theme.

As we finish 2025 we would like to celebrate the successes of our supporters, attendees and our team

386 people accessed our services this year through 1:1 support or groups, over 2000 visits to our warm space took place. We developed new groups such as our Men's Group, our Carlin How children's group and our Kid-venture group. We hosted a Santa Grotto for the first time here at The Palace Hub and took part in a lantern parade and created the most wonderful polar bear lantern. At Christmas we provided Christmas parcels to individuals and families, providing specific toys requested on the children's Christmas lists, we also provided parcels to local Carers and the most vulnerable through our warm space.

Our Outreach service has developed successfully and our team have taken part in various bits of training such as Autism and Leadership. We have supported local Ukrainians to create camouflage netting to send to Ukraine and cooked a new years dinner in our warm space and developed our provision for older people.

All in all, we have had a fantastic year. Please get in touch if you would like to take part in our 2026 activities. All the best, Team Link CT.
