☀️ Redcar Weather Alert – Saturday 21 June ☀️
Today’s weather is turning up the heat — quite literally. An Amber Heat Health Alert is in effect across Redcar and Cleveland, with temperatures soaring into the high 20s and beyond. The heat is expected to peak this afternoon, so please take extra care if you're out and about.
Key advice:
- Stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activity during peak heat (11am–3pm).
- Check in on elderly neighbours or anyone vulnerable.
- Keep your home cool by closing curtains and avoiding direct sunlight.

🌩️ Later Today: Thunderstorm Watch As the evening rolls in, so do the clouds. A Moderate Thunderstorm Warning has been issued, with the potential for heavy showers, lightning, and localised flooding. Travel disruptions and power outages are possible, so plan ahead and stay safe.
