We are offering some extra flu vaccination appointments on Saturday 18th October at Alexandra hospital Redditch 9-12:30. If you would like to book an appointment email wah-tr.maternityvaccination@nhs.net stating your name, hospital number and contact number and a member of our vaccination team will be in touch to confirm an appointment time.

If you’re pregnant, you’re eligible for flu, RSV and whooping cough vaccines. Speak to your midwife, GP practice or pharmacist about vaccinations. 👩‍⚕️💬🤰

Such a thoughtful thing to do 😍🥹

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and awareness campaigner, Lauren, has for the fourth year running created this beautiful memorial by the lake.

Lauren has kindly left a box in the cafe with blank ribbons for those who would like to add to the memorial with their baby's name and free keepsakes to take home with them for their own baby.

🚨🚨EXCITING UPDATE TO OUR BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT GROUPS IN REDDITCH AND BROMSGROVE🚨🚨

From 23rd September our groups in Redditch and Bromsgrove will be moving to weekly sessions.

Redditch will be every Tuesday 1-2:30pm at Holly Trees Family Hub.

Bromsgrove will be every Wednesday 10-11:30am at Pear Tree Family Hub.

Talking therapies support for new and expecting parents in Herefordshire and Worcestershire

Amy and Emilie are really pleased to announce that they're bringing a new Baby Cafe to Redditch, with a Bumps and Babies group to run alongside it.

We will be offering free infant feeding support should you need it, from our qualified NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor Emilie. There will be plenty of toys to occupy the little ones and hot drinks available for the grown ups too. Come along and have a chat with other parents and parents-to-be.

This group is free, thanks to funding from Worcestershire Public Health.

That’s why we are so thrilled that our Peer Support Worker Anna has suggested she comes back to run a Stay and Play over the summer!

👶 When will I hear from the Health Visiting Team?

If you live in Worcestershire and have a child under 5, you’ll be offered 5 key contacts with your local Health Visiting Team:

📅 28+ weeks pregnant – Antenatal Contact
👶 By 14 days old – New Birth Visit
🤱🏼 6–8 weeks old – Postnatal Visit
🧸 9–12 months old – Review
👧 2½ years old – Development Review

These reviews support your child’s health, wellbeing, and development at key stages. Look out for your appointment letters in the post and speak to your Health Visitor if you have any questions.

The Dads are taking the reins!💙

The Dads who come to The Dads group have decided to set up a Stay & Play. They recognised that there are few places for Dads to take their little ones, where they can meet other dads.

The Dads Stay & Play will run every month at The Old Needleworks.

🗓️Our first date is Saturday 14 June, 10am-12pm.
