Some of the beautiful "mind jar" creations we had in class today after talking about all of the different thoughts and feelings we can have throughout a typical day, and how it can sometimes feel like there's a storm in our mind!

We took some slow deep belly breaths and checked on our jars ~ they looked much more calm and clear. The thoughts and feelings were still there, but it was definitely less stormy!

We did some awareness practice and used our senses to write/draw something that we could see, hear, touch, smell and taste. This helped us to bring our minds into the here and now.

After giving our jars a final shake, we got cosy and had an awareness of the breath meditation. We noticed that our stormy mind jars were looking much more calm again, and that we felt much more calm in ourselves tooπŸ₯°

I have been asked this question quite a lot lately and the answer is YES 😊 mindfulness does not discriminate and can be beneficial for all people of all ages and experience ⭐

Whilst I appreciate practicing mindfulness, or more specifically maybe meditation, can be more challenging for some people, this doesn't mean that the benefits will be any less.

Practicing mindfulness is not just about breathing or meditation and is most definitely not about being in a constant state of calm etc. Mindfulness cultivates many practices such as kindness, compassion and gratitude.
And the beauty of the Creative Mindfulness method is that the sessions are interactive with lots of creative, hands-on practices to help embody the true meaning of mindfulness as a whole.

Also as with anything else, the more we practice the better we get at it, and the more we can bring mindfulness into our everyday πŸ’«
