When your vocation is so rewarding:
We were introduced to Adie, via Rachel at Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors. We expressed that we wanted our mum’s funeral to be light-hearted and for people to smile & share in laughter rather than there be lots of tears, we wanted to celebrate Mum’s wholesome life. In the words of Rachel….’I think I know just the man, and he reminds me a little of you, Clive’ (my dad)
From the very first meeting with Adie, we knew Rachel was spot on with her call!
We must have spent 2 hours with Adie, reminiscing, laughing, crying and discussing what we’d like the service to entail.
I joke, now, that Adie is my new best friend because he is the kind of guy that you can call with alterations, suggestions and queries with no problem at all. I think on one occasion we exchanged phone calls at least 4 times throughout the day!
We honestly, couldn’t have asked for a more thorough, professional, dignified yet individual service from Adie.
Friends and family asked if Adie was a family member or friends of the family because he seemed to know us, and Mum, so well (plus he looks a little like my dad). He is someone that you are keen to keep in touch with because he is such a genuinely lovely guy.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, Adie!
Hi Adie,
Just wanted to say thank you for a great service yesterday.
I genuinely believe it was everything Danny would’ve wanted.
I hope that somehow he was able to watch from above and see the love in the room and watch how the event really was a celebration.
The party at Studley Road was excellent too.
My wife Vicky said to me ‘I know it’s a strange thing to say but that was the best funeral I have ever been to as I have never been to one that is a celebration as opposed to the religious more morbid type service’.
I’m sure many others felt the same.
Take care,
Ivor
Hi Adie,
I just wanted to say thank you for such a truly beautiful tribute to our parents. It meant so much to us. So many people at the funeral commented on how moving and heartfelt it was, and it was delivered with such warmth and grace.
We are deeply grateful.
Kind regards,

Hi Ade
I just wanted to let you know that I've just spoken to Lorna and she couldn't sing your praises enough! She thought you were bloody brilliant as do we ! She said Dad wasn't very demonstrative, but she knows he would have shook your hand 😊
Just wanted to pass that on
Kind Regards

Hello Adie,
on behalf of all the family I wanted to thank you for the way you
conducted dad's goodbye. From the moment we met you I knew you were
the perfect choice. Dad would have loved you. Thank you for taking
the time with mom and hearing about their love. Everyone remarked
that it was like you had really known him.
We wish you well, Adie."
Kindest regards
Lorna, Ann and family
