St Davids House and Queens Cottages The 19 Bungalows that form Queens Cottages are so named because they were built in the year of the Coronation, 1952.

St David's House and Queen's Cottages, housing with care, assisted living, close care, continuing care housing, based in Redditch, run by Redditch Borough Council St David's House was built on the site of the former building of St David's Church, which gave its name to St David's House in 1990. St David's has 35 flats and a range of communal facilities.

**54 flats/bungalows built in 1952 and renovated in 1990. Comprising of one bedroom flats and one and two bedroom bungalows.

**Extra Care Scheme with on-site care staff (24 hours/7 days). Non-resident management staff and Carline alarm service.

**Lift, lounge, restaurant, laundry, guest facilities, garden, activities room, hairdressing salon, assisted bathing facilities.

**Whole site accessible by wheelchair. Easy access to site, bus stop 100 yards, shops 150 yards, town centre 2.5 miles.

**Activities such as singing, bingo, whist drive, exercise, quizzes, movie afternoons, tea parties, themed parties, entertainment, theatre trips and outings.

**New residents accepted from 60 years of age.

**Tenure(s) - Rent (social landlord).

**Care provider - Redditch Borough Council. St David's House and Queens Cottages is a sheltered housing scheme provided by Redditch Borough Council which is registered to provide personal care to older people living within the scheme.

Huge thankyou to Redditch local history museum for attending our DDay celebrations. The residents loved looking at WW2 memorabilia and pictures of Redditch at the time, thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for our fish and chip meal, and we finished the day with karaoke to ragtime songs and had tea and cake.

We would like to thank Dave, Chrissy & everyone at KOS for contacting us giving us the opportunity to trial this amazing piece of technology.
The residents really enjoyed using this innovative tablet. They used Google earth to look at where they used to live and places around the world, they looked at the Grand Canyon and the Sydney Opera House, they also had a few cheeky games also. We had a fantastic afternoon sharing memories and having lots of fun.

Many thanks to everyone who celebrated this month with us, to Councillor Joe Baker and Irene for Christmas karaoke and mince pies, Pitcheroak school for your amazing carol singers and Christmas market, Batchley First School for your excellent carol service, Councillor Lucy Harrison for Batchley and Brockhill and Susan Clarke for today's party, the Arrow Vale Singers for today's entertainment, to Inspire Community Training C.I.C for your donations to our raffle prizes, to our amazing residents for your support in fundraising, donations, homemade cakes and for joining us to make this December a month of smiles and laughter.
