We strive to support and uplift everyone on their unique journey. Belmont Healthcare consists of Care Homes and Day Care Services, with the added value of Home Care Services offering diversity and complimentary services for families across the spectrum of care for the elderly with Dementia. Within these settings specialist elderly care is provided for people with mental health needs predominantly dementia. Care is also offered to those with an early on set diagnosis of dementia, this may be in form of Day Care services, Respite services, Home Care services or short term emergency care. There is a registered mental nurse and dementia clinic available through our Day Services to offer clinical support and supervision for staff, service users and families at all three sites.

Happy Mother’s Day. 💐

Here’s a little insight into how we have been celebrating across our homes this week. From making beautiful flower crowns together to enjoying a lovely early Mother’s Day celebration with our resident family, it has been a wonderful few days filled with smiles, creativity and special moments.

Many of our residents will also be spending time with their own families this Mothers Day, so it felt extra special to come together and mark the occasion in advance.

At Haslington Lodge, our residents have been making great use of our new weather charts. ☀️🌧️

These visual charts have already proven to be extremely effective, helping provide reality orientation by placing residents in the current day and season. Residents can actively check the weather and see what the day ahead may bring.

We have also incorporated the charts as a non-verbal way to talk about the day, sparking conversations and encouraging residents to engage with one another.

It has been wonderful to see how such a simple tool can support wellbeing, communication and daily connection.

A warm welcome to two fantastic new additions to the team at Copper Beeches this week.

Wayne joined earlier this week as the new Home Manager at Copper Beeches, bringing with him valuable leadership and experience. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to the positive impact he will bring to the home.

We are also pleased to welcome Catherine, who joined Copper Beeches last week as Clinical Deputy Manager. Catherine brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and expertise to the role, helping to further strengthen the care and support provided to our residents.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Lunar New Year at Haslington Care Home 🏮

Our residents enjoyed spending the morning watching traditional celebrations, chatting about the meaning behind the customs, creating colourful lanterns and sharing fortune cookies with a good old cuppa.

Celebrating occasions like the Chinese New Year is a lovely way to recognise different cultures, encourage conversation and ensure everyone feels valued and represented in our community.
