Arrived in Kenya this week.

Spending time with the the girls, the mentors, the space they’re creating together.

There’s something about being in a different place that changes how you see things.

Not in big, dramatic ways.
Just small moments.

Conversations.
Laughter.
The way people show up for each other.

I’m noticing more than I can put into words just yet.

For now, just taking it in.

What helps you stay present when you’re somewhere new?

Something I’ve been noticing in classes.

How unfamiliar it can be for people to hear that they don’t always need to push through.

That easing off can be a valid choice and stepping back isn’t failure.

It seems so simple.

But it isn’t always how we’ve been taught.

Over time it’s easy to get used to following direction.
To assume someone else knows what’s best.
To override our own sense of what we need.

I’ve recognised that pattern in myself too.

And also the quiet shift back from it. To trusting my own intuition.

Pausing.
Checking in with MYSELF.
Deciding and living from there.

What do you notice when you give yourself that space?

What happens after a donation leaves your hands?

A short glimpse from time spent in northern Kenya 🇰🇪

I spent time working alongside mentors and young women in Karare Village.

What became clear very quickly was that leadership is already there. The work strengthens what exists — it doesn’t import it.

Small practical items can remove real barriers.
Sanitary products, soap, clothing, and stationery all play a part in whether a girl can attend school consistently and safely.

Alongside everything else, there was also joy — football at dusk, laughter, creativity, and a huge amount of spirit.

I also spent a short time on safari with Stephen, whose knowledge of the landscape and wildlife is remarkable. His photographs speak for themselves.

Thank you to .club for hosting the talk on Sunday, and to everyone who came along and contributed. The donations already received will be taken out with me in April and used in the same practical, considered way.

Small things here continue to remove real barriers there.

Gorgeous Sophy on Friday Circuits today.

Which meant I could fully commit to singing loudly and badly.

And she played all the bangers. ❤️

The songs that just carry you and give you more energy than you logically should have first thing.

The moments when you are just ‘in it’ and moving becomes less effort.

Easier.

Not because it is easier.
But because I am being carried.

Strange how music does that for me.

Where in your life do you forget yourself a little?

What happens after a donation leaves your hands?

I’ve returned from time spent in northern Kenya, working alongside mentors and young women in Karare Village.

On Sunday 22nd March, I’ll be sharing some of those experiences — not just what we did, but what I observed, learned, and what stayed with me.

If you’d like to come and listen, you’re very welcome.

Earlier this week a client said something that stayed with me.

“I used to be afraid of making a to-do list,” she said.
“Now I have a plan for the year.”

She said it quite casually. As if it was an ordinary update.

But it isn’t really about a list.
Or even about a plan.

Sometimes the biggest shifts in a life start with something almost invisible. A slightly different way of approaching the day. One small adjustment in how we look at things.

And quietly, over time, things begin to move.

Confidence grows.
Clarity grows.
Life becomes a little more manageable.

Not because someone forced change…
but because the next step became reachable.

It often makes me wonder how many of the things we think are big life problems are really just waiting for a small shift in how we approach them.

What is one small step that feels within reach for you today?
