What does my blood pressure mean?
Blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg) and is shown as two numbers:
💪 Systolic (top number): The pressure in your arteries when your heart contracts and pumps blood.
🥱 Diastolic (bottom number): The pressure in your arteries when your heart relaxes between beats.
Here’s how to understand the numbers:
💚 Normal: 90/60 mmHg to 120/80 mmHg
💚 Pre-Hypertension: 120/80 mmHg to 140/90 mmHg
💚 High Blood Pressure – Stage 1: 140/90 mmHg to 160/100 mmHg
💚 High Blood Pressure – Stage 2: 160/100 mmHg to 180/120 mmHg
💚 Hypertensive Crisis: 180/120 mmHg or above

Menopause is a natural phase and not a sudden event. 💚
Perimenopause can start years before your periods stop completely, usually in your 40s, and brings its own set of changes, from hot flushes to mood shifts and sleep struggles.
It typically occurs between 45 and 55, as hormone levels gradually shift and periods come to a stop.

Menopause is a natural phase that marks the end of menstrual cycles and fertility. Usually happening between ages 45-55, menopause happens when your ovaries stop releasing eggs and produce less oestrogen.
This hormonal shift can bring changes like hot flashes, mood swings, night sweats, and sleep troubles.
