Quick update for our Linkfield Physiotherapy patients as well as new patients. Our clinic remains open and we offer our services as usual to all clients. We operate under PPE regulations. Dear All,
The clinic will be open as normal this week though with changed hours for Christmas. We are following the appropriate Public Health England guidelines which allow us to remain open.
We are closed on the 24th through to re-opening on Tuesday the 29th.

Dear All,
We are reopening on Monday the 8th of June.

I am pleased to announce that we will be reopening to face to face appointments.
We can now begin to provide face to face therapy again though there are obvious exclusions for our safety and that of the client.
Further detail will be provided when you phone the clinic.
Please call to book an appointment and you will be triaged over the phone prior to booking.
Bear with us if the phone is not answered and leave a message and you will be contacted back.
We are also still providing Telephone/Virtual Consultations for those who do not wish to attend the clinic.

At the clinic:

We will be asking at point of booking if the patient is suffering from any of the Public Health England advised symptom of COVID19 and as such should be self isolating.

Hygiene -
We are following once again the guidance from Public Health England with regard to hygiene in the clinic.
Masks and aprons will be worn by the Physios and the patients will be asked to wear a mask. If you do not have one then one will be provided.
Surfaces will be cleaned before and after each appointment including but not exclusive to Treatment Couch, door handles, card machines, seat arms, desks, keyboards, mouse. Etc
Appointments will also be booked with spaces in between to ensure no overlap or several people in the waiting area at once.
A modified consent form and information will be emailed to the patient prior to the session with details of the procedure for the appointment.

Video consultation –
Via Zoom or Whatsapp or other similar platforms. Here I am able to carry out a full subjective assessment and a modified objective assessment. I will still be able to provide a diagnosis and the best advice for managing and hopefully resolving the issue.
Your exercise programme will also be sent via email with video clips and full instructions for the exercises.
Costs – The above is charged at £25
Home visits -
Can be carried out and the Physiotherapist will have the appropriate level of PPE protection.

Dear All,

I just wanted to update everyone to keep you informed of what is happening at Linkfield Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic during this public health emergency and lock down.

Ever since this started we have followed the Public Health England Guidance and I would recommend you all to do so and if you have not looked the website is full of information. https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/public-health-england

This gives us a strict guidance of the services we are allowed to provide.

Telephone Consultations –

Please feel free to call the clinic on 01737-763632. I have a call divert in place so will pick up all messages if unable to answer. I am available for some advice over the phone if you have any worried or questions.

Video consultation –

Home visits -

There is a very strict criteria surrounding home visits. They are only allowed if the person who has the problem is a carer for another vulnurable individual and needs assistance to be able to continue to provide that level of care required.

Also anyone post recent surgery who without treatment would end up back at the hospital and have a failed operation.

Any one off trauma assessment for which otherwise the patient would visit a GP service of local hospital A and E.

Costs – The above is charged at £80

At the clinic:

Once again the criteria for visiting the clinic are as for the home visits above.
Also we will be asking at point of booking if the patient is suffering from any of the Public Health England advised symptom of COVID19 and as such should be self isolating.
We are not open for seeing ongoing chronic conditions or now acute sports or minor injuries.
These I am happy to deal with over a video consultation as mentioned above.

Costs – Initial assessment £55, follow ups - £45

Hygiene -

We are following once again the guidance from Public Health England with regard to hygiene in the clinic.
Surfaces will be cleaned before and after each appointment including but not exclusive to Treatment Couch, door handles, card machines, seat arms, desks, keyboards, mouse. etc

Finally,

Try and manage to do your daily exercise even if this is not specific to an issue or problem you have. The benefits of exercise for physical and mental health cannot be underestimated in these difficult times.
I hope you are all managing in the home environment and I will message again with any updates or hopefully to inform you when the clinic is open again.

We are now closed to face to face hands on Physiotherapy. However we will continue to give telephone advice. Many of your insurers will also cover a video consultation so please feel free to still contact us via email info@linkfield-physiotherapy.co.uk or usual telephone 01737763632. If you have an appointment we will be contacting you.
We will also be doing video consultations for any new aches and pains which will be the usual assessment and diagnosis and advice/exercise programme email via the video link for the cost of £25. Please enquire for any further information.
Lastly, look after yourselves amd do some exercise daily.

Just to let everyone know. We are still open following all of Public Health Englands policies in order to keep our staff and our clients as safe as possible. So please feel free to still come and see us. However if you prefer not to go out we can do home visits or arrangeeither a telephone consultation or a video messaging consultation via various mediums.
