She eventually became manager of Croydon's NHS Chiropody department before opting to leave to set up in private practice. Fiona's main speciality i

As a keen sportsperson herself, she has studied foot and lower limb function which can have a direct effect on the way children and adults walk, run and move. Fiona keeps up to date with research and new ideas by attending courses, and is also very lucky to work alongside osteopaths, thus sharing knowledge. Meet Morna Elliott

Over the years, Diabetes and nail surgery have become a special interest, and she has furthered her knowledge through courses and reading.

Happy Retirement Morna!

Today we wish the wonderful Morna all the very best as she works her last day in clinic before beginning her well deserved retirement. Morna will surely look forward to spending more leisure time following her many loves in life and we are confident all who know her will appreciate how that is so deserved after a hugely successful career and unwavering dedication to her fabulous and loyal clients.

All of us here in the clinic will miss her not just for her infectious laugh and bubbly personality but also for how she was always ready to help anyone with anything. We know how much she will relish her newly found free time!

As we bid farewell to Morna, we would also like to introduce our new Podiatrist Dora who is joining our team from the 27th August. Dora is a very competent practitioner who will be able to offer the full range of Podiatry services including Biomechanical Assessments, Orthotic prescription and surgical options for ingrowing nails.

So we say a heartfelt thank you to Morna and wish her all the very best for the future whilst also saying a huge ‘Welcome’ to Dora as she starts her work with us at Footzone and The Westway Clinic!

Happy Retirement Fiona!

Today, our fabulous Fiona will step back from face to face client consultations as she begins her wind down to retirement and we would all like to extend our best wishes and gratitude for such superb service and care for her clients over the years. We are grateful that she will still be in the background in an advisory capacity.

Whilst Fiona steps back, we are delighted to welcome Ashley who is joining the team and taking over Fiona's patients, who we are sure will benefit greatly from his approach.

Ashley is an experienced and established Podiatrist with a background in sports and lower limb biomechanics and he is also able to offer Nail Surgery and leads our orthotic services. We are also excited to be bringing additional verrucae treatments to our patients from May.

So we say 'Thank you!' and bid 'Au Revoir!' to Fiona and shout 'Hello!' to Ashley from the 2nd May!

Our story

So what excites us about feet, even after 30 years in the profession? Getting rid of pain. Its as simple as that. And doing it as well as we can. So, who do we treat? I like to think we can treat or advise, and also help refer, anyone who comes to see us with foot related pain. This pain might be heel pain or achilles pain, maybe caused because someone started a running programme too quickly.

Equally, it might be painful corns on the feet caused by a mechanical over loading. It could be a young person who is hypermobile and needs orthotics to stabilize their feet. But it could also be someone with limited mobility who just cannot manage their toenails.

And what about the subject of ingrowing toenails and all the pain that brings?! Our job is to try and make that pain go away. Using a bit of detective work to answer this question - Why did it happen?? That’s the fun bit. Then we come up with a plan together, and work hard to put it right.

So basically, if you suffer with foot pain, make an appointment and come and see us! The number to call is 01737 762990.
