Ingrowing toenail? The Foot Nurse can help!

DO

Soak your foot in warm, salty water to help soften the skin around your toe and reduce the chances of infection
Keep your foot dry for the rest of the day
Wear wide, comfortable shoes or sandals
Take paracetamol or ibuprofen to ease the pain

DON’T

Do not cut your toenail yourself – leave it to grow out and seek advice from a Foot Health Professional
Do not pick at your toe or toenail
Do not wear tight, pointy shoes

Soaking your feet in warm water will not only feel nice, but will also help to soften your nails prior to having them cut, you can choose to do this prior to a visit or as part of your service 👣
