Exciting day!

New website has dropped!

We have been working on it in the background for too long with many work related distractions. The old website was very outdated and didn't represent us very well at all!

It's far from finished, many more photos and videos need to be added as we go. Hopefully though, it gives you a better idea of your wheels ''journey" while its with us.

Let us know what you think.

With the plant installed and up and working with capacity to process approximately 120 wheels per day when required, we found another bottleneck formed quite quickly! So as well as our two full size TY30 lathes we have operating we have added a third slightly smaller lathe to the lineup. Having had two tryax machines for quite some time we knew they are the best on the market by far. Placing an order for a third was the right thing to do to ensure the quality our customers have come to expect. As we have said before there is a huge amount of 'startups' supplying machinery that hasn't been tried and tested and is not designed specifically for alloy wheels coming into the market for knockdown prices. Buy cheap, buy twice as they say.

Being delivered next week and will offer an excellent third machine to take the strain when the other two are maxed out.

Autoshine Wheel Clinic are looking to recruit a new member of staff. We are growing and so need to train an additional member of staff to operate our new machinery.

Alloy Wheel Diamond Cutting Technician

We are looking to recruit an additional lathe operator to run our Alloy Wheel Diamond Cutting CNC machines.
The lathes we have on site are the latest in technology and have been designed with the operator in mind having intuitive design and prompts throughout the process. This means that you do not have to have previous experience using lathes or CNC machines and we look to recruit based on the individual’s characteristics. Full training will be supplied to the right candidate.
Diamond cutting requires the successful applicant to follow a predetermined process from start to finish. This role would include checking wheels prior to work beginning to ascertain suitability for refurbishment/diamond cutting. Correct loading of wheels into the lathe, always following safety measures with care. A digital probe is used to map the profiles of each individual wheel and the resulting data is stored. When machining the wheel, the software programme is run multiple times. Each time, a very small amount of material is removed until the desired finish is achieved on the face of the wheel. During lathe operation, progress must be checked continually. There are many other processes within the simplified explanation here, but essentially, the role requires a conscientious person who can concentrate to ensure damage is not caused to machinery, wheels or themself.
Once comprehensively trained, we will look to provide experience in other areas of the workshop. This would help to develop a good working understanding of other roles carried out by the team which would ultimately allow flexibility within the business and offer variety to you.

The role requires a reliable, hardworking well organised individual who is able to forward plan and communicate effectively with other workshop staff and management to identify priorities.
You will also need to be flexible in approach, work to deadlines and problem solve independently. A degree of flexibility will be needed to ensure work is completed, sometimes requiring a later finish or earlier start to meet customer expectations when we have heavy workloads.
You will need to be a good timekeeper, trustworthy and willing to integrate with other members of staff.

During training period you will also learn how to correctly prepare the wheels for paint and powder, this is a crucial step before cutting.

A driving licence is required for this role.
This role is Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm.
Plus, alternating Saturday mornings once, a period of training is complete. This will be paid as overtime.

Initially, we offer £27,170 (£29,770 with attendance bonus) per annum. After successful completion of a training period of three months, we will review pay. At this point, we would expect you work independently and produce work of a high standard consistently.
We will then review pay and conditions annually dependant on individual performance.
We offer:
28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays and two seasonal closure periods)
Company pension scheme
Free onsite parking
Overtime is often available during busy periods
Uniform, PPE including safety boots supplied
Attendance/PPE compliance bonus of £2600 per year.
4 weekly Pay
Seriously considered applicants will be required to spend a morning/afternoon at the workshop to ensure a better understanding of the position.

If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a growing business where each member of the team plays a crucial role in the smooth operation for our customers and their experience of the company, then please send us your CV and covering letter to info@alloywheelclinic.co.uk
Application deadline:17/7/2023
We look forward to hearing from you.
