We’re incredibly proud to share that Scott, one of CFS' founding directors, was formally installed on Monday as President of the Cornwall Area Federation of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).

This is a tremendous honour and a reflection of Scott’s long standing dedication to serving families across Cornwall with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. His commitment to raising standards within the funeral profession and supporting fellow funeral directors has always been at the heart of what we do at CFS.

As President, Scott will represent funeral directors across the Cornwall area, helping to promote excellence, uphold professional standards, and support collaboration within our industry.

Today began early and frost-covered here at Cornwall Funeral Services, and it has been a day of dedication and care as we supported three families with services at Treswithian Downs Crematorium. Two of these services were arranged through our Redruth funeral home, and one through our Newlyn home, and as always, it was our privilege to walk alongside each family as they said their farewells.

Days like today remind us of the trust families place in us at some of the most difficult and meaningful moments of their lives, and we are honoured to serve with compassion, dignity, and respect.

And while the work was heartfelt, the winter chill still made itself known — especially when our vehicles needed washing and preparing in temperatures that had us wondering whether the buckets or our fingertips would freeze first! A huge well done to the team for keeping everything looking professional, even in weather better suited to penguins. 🐧❄️🚗

As the icy spell continues, we would like to wish everyone a calm and safe weekend ahead. If you are travelling in these conditions, please take extra care on the roads — your safety matters.

🎄✨ Our Christmas cards have arrived, and we are officially feeling wonderfully festive here at CFS ✨🎄

Each year, we like to share a little seasonal warmth with the families, colleagues and friends we work alongside, and we’re delighted to continue that tradition again this Christmas. The cards look absolutely beautiful, and we hope they bring a smile and a moment of comfort to everyone who receives one during this special time of year.

We are honoured to include our Forget-Me-Nots seeds again this year, which we supply to the families we care for so they can remember and reflect upon the loved ones they have lost. It is a small gesture of support, comfort and remembrance at a time when memories feel especially present.

A heartfelt thank you to Redborne Printing, Redruth for their care, quality and attention to detail in producing our cards once again. It’s always a pleasure to work with local businesses who take such pride in their craft.

As the festive season begins, we send our warmest wishes to all the families we have supported throughout the year, and those who are remembering a loved one at this time. May the coming weeks be filled with peace, reflection, and precious moments with those who matter most.

🌺 Remembrance Sunday 🌺

Today, we pause to remember all those who gave their lives in service, and those who continue to serve, so that we may live in peace and freedom.

At Cornwall Funeral Services, we join people across the nation in honouring the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the men and women who have shaped our history.

Some of our team spent time today to attend various remembrance services to join our local communities in remembering and giving thanks to those men and women.

🕯️ All Souls Service at St Euny Church 🕯️

On Sunday, Morgan and Scott were honoured to attend the All Souls Service at St Euny Church. The service included the installation and blessing of the new Books of Remembrance, which we are truly proud to have sponsored.

It was a beautiful and meaningful occasion, offering a moment to pause, reflect, and remember loved ones. 💜

'Celebrating Life' is a term that is used now more than ever when talking about funerals. It's about not just mourning the loss of a loved one but also honouring and 'celebrating' all they have done and who that person was.
