Yesterday, our brilliant colleagues Heidi and Louise, supported Mike out to the remembrance parade.

It was the first day he’s been out of his house in a year after his accident. He was chuffed to bits and glad he was able to have his pint!

What is the Herbert Protocol? 💙

The Herbert Protocol is a simple but vital tool that can help keep people living with dementia safe. It’s a form you fill out in advance with important details, such as a recent photo, medical needs and routines.

If the person ever goes missing, this information can be passed straight to the police, helping them begin their search immediately. It saves valuable time and reduces stress for families during an already worrying situation.

✅ Complete the form online via MedicAlert or ask your local police for a paper copy
✅ Include as much detail as possible
✅ Review and update it regularly
✅ Let trusted family, carers, or neighbours know where it’s kept

For families, it offers peace of mind. For the person living with dementia, it increases the chance of being found quickly and safely.

This small step can make a huge difference.

This campaign has been running across Cornwall since the beginning of October, you might have seen carers on bus stops, billboards and even fuel pumps across the county.

Each one represents the real people behind the care we provide every day.💙

Our team had such a fantastic time celebrating together, a night full of laughter, dancing, and even surprise singers!

After 10 amazing years with our Redruth branch, we’re saying a fond farewell to Florentina as she retires and returns to Romania.

We thank her for all the hard work she's put in over the last decade and wish her all the happiness in this next chapter, she will be truly missed! ♥️
