Bonnie has come to join the family. She’s 13 months much smaller than Luna but holding her own with loony Luna and very gentle with the children. She’ll be at the gate wanting cuddles and fussing I’m sure.

This session will allow us to develop a better understanding of sensory needs of children with a diagnosis of ASD and other needs and will allow time for Q&A.

We all have our favourite spot to go and chill, especially when we need to regulate our emotions. Lunas favourite spot is on the therapy room chairs and during gaps in clients she will move the barrier to go and reclaim her favourite spot!

Back to school this week, new schools/new classes/new teachers. That’s a lot of change for our little ones. After 6 weeks off it’s a lot to take in. Be kind to yourselves and be kind to them. Ease off the demands at home, give them space to unwind when they get home-be that screens or cuddles whatever they need.

I know as parents we are desperate to learn about their day and what they’ve done. Try to avoid asking them too many questions and always wait till they’ve had some downtime and a snack. (Remember they’ve had 6 weeks of all you can eat so it will be a shock to the system going back to school 🤣)

I’m back to work from Wednesday and looking forward to getting back into a routine and seeing old clients and meeting new ones starting up over the next couple of weeks.

Often the first clients of the morning or afternoon will see me taking the cushions down from the shelves to put on the chairs….this is why! I wasn’t quick enough tidying up today!

loony Luna is 1! She’s enjoyed having cuddles from so many clients since she arrived and enjoys doing her bottom wiggle dance at the gate to greet people as they arrive.
