🌞🎉 What a Summer Party at Dungate Manor 🎉🌞

Come rain or shine, nothing could dampen our spirits and our summer party was proof of that! Dungate Manor was beautifully decorated with colourful bunting and balloons, and from our first guest to the last, the home was filled with laughter, joy, and a wonderful sense of community. 💐✨

🎩 David the magician wowed us with his one-to-one magic and incredible balloon art, the smiles on our residents' faces were truly magical to see.

🎤 We were treated to a fantastic singer whose music had something for everyone. The home was absolutely buzzing with singing, foot tapping, and dancing, what a vibe.

🍽️ Our chefs pulled out all the stops with a buffet fit for royalty and drinks flowing throughout the day. Safe to say, no one went home hungry.

💌 A special shout-out to Fena from the Lifestyle Team, who set up memory tables where guests could write down their favourite moments of the day. Each one was paired with a photo keepsake a beautiful personal touch that makes our home so unique.

None of this would have been possible without Gina and her incredible team on the day at Dungate Manor, who worked tirelessly to make the day so special for everyone. We can’t thank you enough 💙👏

Feeling Underappreciated or in Need of a Morale Boost? 🤔
Do you ever feel like you're working aimlessly - with no clear outcome, no goals, and little satisfaction?😓
At Dungate Manor Care Home in Reigate, we know how important it is to feel valued. Today, our Lifestyle Manager Fena and Deputy Home Manager Gina brought a little joy to the team with a thoughtful and uplifting activity. 🌟
They created "Badges of Compliments" - where staff chose badges that best described their colleagues and handed them out personally. 💬✨
It was a simple gesture, but the impact was big. Spirits were lifted, smiles were shared, and it was the perfect boost on a Friday - just in time for our summer party!
Sometimes, it's the little things that remind us we're appreciated. 💛

Despite the classic British weather (yes, it's raining), our Summer Party is still going ahead☔ But don’t worry, we have plenty of space inside our beautiful home, so the fun won't be dampened.

Too often, care homes are seen - and unfortunately run - as places where elderly individuals go to live out their days in isolation, surrounded by four walls and routine. But aging doesn't mean sentencing someone to stillness or stagnation. Choosing to move into a care setting should be about gaining support, not giving up freedom. It's about enabling a more secure, enriching life - not shrinking it. 🙅‍♀️
