Among 2 nationwide US cohorts of adults who filled an antipsychotic medications prescription after hospitalization, discontinuing APMs was associated with lowered risk of rehospitalization and all-cause mortality, regardless of age, s*x, and clinical characteristics (eg, dementia status, type and dose of APM prescribed, and duration of APM exposure).

This cohort study evaluates whether discontinuation of antipsychotic medication after hospital discharge, compared with antipsychotic medication continuation, is associated with reduced risk of rehospitalization and all-cause mortality among older adults with hospitalization-related delirium.

Amazing progress from an client today.

The spiral test is often used to assess the severity of shakes.

The client was really struggling when we met.

One hour session online. Before and after. What a difference!

Now, we're working to make that steadiness stick!

This is some new fascinating research (Hirten et al., 2025) about HRV monitoring and IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) flare-ups.

Does this start to confirm the link between "brain activation" (aka General Adaptive Syndrome to stressors) and IBD flare-ups?
