We couldn't let today go by without acknowledging International Dance Day - a global, joyous celebration of the universal language of dance. Although, in our Dancespace sessions, every day feels like a celebration, so I guess it's always International Dance Day here - and we wouldn't have it any other way!

For this year’s World Autism Acceptance Month, running throughout April, the National Autistic Society has launched a public awareness campaign to educate people on simple changes they can make to make life easier for autistic people.

🧩 Shifting expectations.
🧩 Advocating for autistic colleagues and friends in the workplace and beyond.

It’s Neurodiversity Celebration Week, a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences.

We see every day how different ways of thinking, communicating, and experiencing the world bring value, perspective, and connection to our communities. And we wouldn’t be where we are without the wonderful team of neurodivergent individuals both behind the scenes and within our homes and day services.

We love all our sessions here at Dayspace, but one of our favourites has to be Digispace, where customers are given the opportunity to develop their media skills in a variety of ways. We absolutely love seeing what they get up to - and we thought you might as well! It’s been all about Canada at Dayspace this week, and our lovely customers have been immersed in a world of all things Canadian.

There have been some fantastic activities going on - but one of our favourites has to be these amazing little bear sculptures from our Potteryspace sessions. We think they’re wonderful! And here’s a little Friday fact for you: Canada is home to over 60% of the world’s bear population! 🐻
