Supporting our inner child😍

At Blossom we love to see the adults joining in and taking that all important time to connect to their own inner child.

It is when we are surrounded by children, in nature, that we really get to immerse ourselves in the true joy and magic that playing and being in the moment brings.

We allow ourselves the freedom to be who we really are - embracing our own inner children through connecting with our silliness, laughing and allowing all those adult stresses to melt away.

At Blossom we ensure all feel welcome to explore and be who you need to be that day. Some days we like to warm and rest by the fire, others we are keen to see the world from greater heights!

As we are led by the child, their needs and wants in the moment, we learn together - how to flow and be in harmony with our friends and nature.

Today was the last day of our 6 sessions to enable us to become one step closer to our dream of creating our very own forest school inspired by the needs of the community.

What can we say? It has been an absolute challenge combined with moments of true bliss❤

We wish to thank all our beautiful families that went above and beyond to support us on this journey. We really appreciate the effort you have all gone to, our minds are blown by your dedication. We truly feel we have made so many best friends. We really feel your love and want to express our heartfelt gratitude to you all. We really could not have achieved this without you all. You are all so special to us. You are all Blossom. 😍😍😍

Today the children chose to party!!! And if you know us at Blossom we are never ones to shy away from a party🤣🤣🤣 so we dutifully obliged 🤣

We danced round the fire, we chose our favourite songs to get our energy moving, we played games and built the biggest den we've ever seen.

We painted our faces, we read stories, we fished (of course🤣), we used our imaginations in role play games.

We shared all our best bits and things that would make Blossom even better.

We thank our friends for supporting us through the ups and downs and really believing in us, holding space for us to connect and learn through love. We are so grateful.

Most of all we thank all of the boys and girls for bringing their fun, enthusiasm, total joy and endless energy over the last couple of weeks.

It has been an absolute wonderful experience and we cannot wait for more.

We love you all.

Today we started our day making some NOISE! We harmonised together using our breath to really connect before we started our busy day of play.

We all HAD to see the new baby chicks. We are very compassionate towards the mother hen, giving her and her babies space and gentle touches to ensure they felt safe.

We learned how to fish, how to use the rod safely and correctly whilst considering the wellbeing of the fish. We used our books to help ID our catch - we caught a brown trout!!! We were beyond proud of ourselves and celebrated each other's success! More fishing tomorrow!

We are still engrossed in watching the velocity and the movement of the water at our dam. Observing how fast our natural items flow until they disappear.

We shared our ideas to make Blossom even better. ❤

We ended our day considering the movements of our body. We used our movements to become the elements and the creatures that we have experienced in our time at Blossom. We laughed a LOT with our interpretations 🤣🤣

We thank our friends and mother earth for a great fun day❤

Yesterday was a super hot day at Blossom. This slowed our pace a little (not a lot 🤣) with lots of burn play dominating our chosen play experiences.

We watched and timed varying weights of items float and find route down the burn. Lots of problem solving, considering others and compromise. This resulted in us using saws to respectfully trim some trailing branches. We asked permission from the tree and believe we supported her further growth.

We are still continuing our dam. The engineering, design, sheer determination and team work that has went into this structure is truly astounding!😃

Some continued with potion making. The children were so imaginative creating their own connoctions, soups and cakes using nature as their stimulus. "Do you need a sprinkle of salt on that?" "This is a double chocolate oreo cake with 100 billion cookies in it" yummy!!!

We loved listening to stories today, predicting the next parts, discussing the parts that mean something to us and sharing these with our friends. One child was inspired to do an impromptu show and tell, sharing her crystals which inspired others to share their knowledge too.

We took inspiration from our surroundings to create our front cover for our very our Blossom floorbook. Look at the beautiful burn, trees and flowers we have represented through our marks. Beautiful 😍

We enjoyed a performance by our newly formed band - The Rosehips. Looking forward to hearing their new material😍😍😍

Today we began our day considering our breath and beginning to understand how powerful our thoughts and intentions are.

We were super excited to meet our new baby chicks. We discussed their lifecycle and learned some new words for the different parts of their eggs. We really thought about the mummy hen and babies, ensuring they felt safe and protected. The general consensus was they were so fluffy😍 there are 3 more eggs waiting to hatch❤

Our day was very busy working on making our dam even bigger than last week's and starting a new one. We were fascinated by the speed and velocity of the water as the dam shapes changed.

We discovered more frogs and toads, can now point out their differing characteristics and are learning how to respect them as beautiful living beings.

Some of us chose to be spies and created a den to do all our spy work in. Some chose to make potions. Some chose to embrace cold water swimming. Brrrrrrrrrrr!

We are all free to explore what interests us.

Oh and we passed our forest school assessment today which we are delighted about. We thank you all for supporting us - you are all Blossom.

Today we started our day with some breathwork, really considering the pace of our inhale and exhale and how this powerful technique can help support our big emotions.

We then had the opportunity to work alongside Rory MacPhee. We thank him for his expertise, fun and humour as he safely guided us to identify Willow and respectfully snip some branches to whittle our very own cooking stick. So much focus, concentration and love went into our whittling. Some really embraced our no waste approach and decided to create their own jewellery pieces from the peeled off bark. Total genius!

We then played and played some more! We created dams, painted rocks, found a host of amazing creatures to name a few.

We shared our desires for Blossom discussing what would make our space the best place ever!

We thank the land and mother earth for holding space for us to connect with her and our friends.

Thank you for a beautiful day everyone, can't wait till we meet again😍

Ever feel like someone is watching you...🤣

We had the best day today at our very first session! Only a short time ago this was a dream, now it is reality.

All the hard work really has paid off as now we get to hear the laughs and see the smiles when new friends are made.

Tomorrow we are so excited to work with Rory who is a specialist in all things woodwork. We will be learning how to use his ancient tools to create our own pieces.

"This is the coolest day ever!"

You know it's a good day when no one wants to leave🤣

We thank you all for coming today. What a special bunch you truly are. We are so blessed.
