..that hyaluronidase (the filler dissolving enzyme) is a 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚, meaning that if your injector does not hold this qualification, you should have a 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚 (𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣) consultation with a Prescriber?
If this doesn't happen, your safety is at risk; you and they can't guarantee what is being injected, or if the injector is actually insured for undertaking the procedure.

My patient and I have been working together for a while and after discussing different treatments, she decided now was the time to address her thinning lips.

Her goal (and mine) was to achieve subtle volume and definition to restore her confidence and improve the appearance of her lips.

The immediate results will settle within 2-4 weeks, swelling will subside and the final lip size will be around 15-20% smaller than pictured.

A gummy smile is a condition where a person's smile shows an excessive amount of gum tissue and often creating the appearance of short teeth.

Several factors can contribute to a gummy smile, including:

Excessive gum tissue covering teeth, making a smile appear "gummy."

Overactive upper lip muscles can lift the upper lip too high when smiling, exposing more gum tissue.

One treatment option for a gummy smile is by injecting small amounts of Botox precisely into the muscles which are responsible for lifting the upper lip when smiling.

By weakening these muscles, Botox relaxes the upper lip and reduces the gum exposure when smiling, resulting in a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing smile.

Botox is a prescription only medicine and legally can only be administered after a face to face assessment with a prescriber.

A little goes a long way...

Careful treatment planning, correct filler choice, a stepwise approach and patience are essential to achieve a good outcome for all lip treatments, but most importantly when treating thin lips.

These lips will settle, and after swelling subsides, will be 15-20% smaller than these photos. We can then build on the results with a little more filler if required to achieve the patient's desired outcome.

Filling thin/small lips too quickly or aggressively is a guaranteed way to end up with migrated filler and an unnatural look. Several appointments over months may be required to achieve a natural and age appropriate outcome.

It's a marathon, not a sprint.

It's also your face....no scrimping, no rushing, no regrets.
