A community project offering perinatal mental health support 🤰🤱

Mothers matter are a not for profit organisation

Our aim and passion is to stop women and families getting to crisis point. Our mission is to work alongside vulnerable women and their families to ensure we meet all of their health and social needs, to encourage and empower good mental health. Our support helps build self-esteem and guide mothers to overcome perinatal and mental health problems. Some of the services we would look to offer are:-
- Support
- Counselling
- online contact
- Peer support
- Birthing buddies
- Pregnancy pals
- Workshops
- Zoom meetings with new mums
- Zoom meetings with perinatal women
- Support to family members
- Coffee mornings
- Wellbeing Antenatal classes

To commemorate babies who we have lost too soon as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which ends on October 15th.

Light a candle at 7pm

As different time zones light candles, the collective action creates a global “wave of light” that illuminates the night in remembrance.

This ADHD Awareness Month, we celebrate the unique brilliance that comes with this neurotype: the rapid-fire thinking, the inventive problem-solving, and the deep wells of passion. Success isn’t about overcoming the brain you have; it’s about finding the strategies that work for you.

Your ADHD brain may not follow the usual path in pregnancy, post-natal and parenting, but it can lead you to remarkable places!

ADHD is a documented neurodevelopmental difference with genetic roots. It is not caused by poor parenting, too much screen time, or a “sugar high”.

We educate not just for our parents and children, but for everyone who struggles because their challenges are dismissed.

This month, and every month, let’s advocate for the support, respect and understanding that every ADHD individual deserves. Awareness is the first step toward acceptance. 🤗
