It is deeply saddening to witness an increasing lack of patience and respect on our roads lately 💔. We are encountering more instances where drivers attempt to force their way into funeral cortèges — between the hearse and the limousines carrying bereaved families — and even during processions with our horses.

Such actions are not only disrespectful but dangerously reckless, with near misses becoming all too common simply because someone wishes to save a few moments on their journey.

We fully appreciate that a funeral procession travels at a slower pace. This is done deliberately, as it marks a person’s final journey — a moment deserving of dignity, respect, and quiet reflection.

So, if you find yourself behind a cortège, we kindly ask that you pause and remember the significance of what you are witnessing. A delay of thirty seconds, a minute, or even two is a small price to pay to honour a life now at rest and to show compassion to those left behind.
