Three years ago Marvin joined our TLC family with no prior experience in care work. Today he is a Senior Care Worker and we could not be more proud of the person he has become.

In his own words he describes building relationships with his clients as one of his greatest achievements and honestly that says everything about who Marvin is. He shows up every day with heart, dedication and a warmth that his clients absolutely feel.

We are so grateful for three years of loyalty, hard work and the unique personality and culture Marvin brings to our teams. He has recently become a father too so this milestone feels even more special.

We are delighted to share some wonderful news from within the TLC team this month.
A number of our colleagues have recently completed qualifications and taken on new responsibilities, and we could not be prouder of each and every one of them.

Cai Williams has successfully completed his Level 3 in Health and Social Care. This is a significant professional milestone and a reflection of the commitment and dedication Cai brings to his work and to the people he supports.

Lahiru Wickramasinghe and Olivia Gadhavi have both achieved their Level 2 in Health and Social Care, marking an important step in their careers and laying a strong foundation for their continued growth within the team.

Michelle Duber has qualified as an All Wales BTEC Moving and Handling Passport Trainer. In this role, Michelle will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both colleagues and clients across our service.

We also wish Michelle every success as she embarks on the Future Leaders Course. It is a well-deserved opportunity and one we have every confidence she will excel in.

At TLC, we are committed to supporting our team to grow, develop and thrive. These achievements are a testament to the quality of people who make up our organisation.

🌟 Three years ago, Lahiru Wickramasinghe made a bold leap.
He left a career in finance and banking in Sri Lanka, arrived in North Wales, and walked into a world completely different from spreadsheets and balance sheets. He walked into care work and he's never looked back.
From day one, it was clear Lahiru brought something special. Growing up in Sri Lanka, where families live close and care for one another naturally, he already understood what this work is really about. As Olwen, one of TLC's founding directors, puts it:
"He brings sunshine into the homes he visits. He smiles all the time. Clients genuinely look forward to their visits with him."
In just three years, Lahiru has completed his Level 2 in Care and earned a promotion to Senior Carer, Client Assessment and Training Coach, now writing personalised care plans, assessing new service users, and mentoring the wider TLC team.
At the three year milestone, he joins our long service recognition scheme, receiving an extra day of annual leave and a pay rise in thanks for his loyalty, reliability, and the warmth he brings every single day.
We couldn't be prouder. Thank you, Lahiru. 💙

💷 Salary: £25,000 base for 37.5 hrs/week
increasing to £14/hr (Mon–Fri), £15/hr (Sat–Sun) following probation period.
🕒 Hours: Full-time & part-time – set rotas, alternate weekends off
🚗 Mileage: 45p per mile

Tender Loving Care Ltd is a family-run care company established in 2008, providing high-quality, person-centred care across Conwy County.

We’re recruiting four female Community Care Assistants due to specific service user needs.

A full UK driving licence and your own car are essential.

TLC holds an active sponsorship licence and can consider Skilled Worker sponsorship for eligible UK-based or overseas applicants.

The Role

Supporting people in their own homes with:

• Personal care & medication
• Meal preparation
• Companionship
• Light household tasks

Full training, induction, and ongoing support provided.

Pay & Benefits

Many congratulations to Gary Roberts, we thank him for his service to TLC over the last 7 years and on achieving his weight loss success. 5 stone lighter, he appears in this photo with Olwen, receiving his certificate and award, he will also enjoy the benefit of an extra annual leave day along with a pay rise.

Our service users like his banter and high standard of care that 7 years’ experience provides.

Gary is a good role model, he came into the care industry towards the autumn of his career and we wish him the best in his healthier life and smaller uniform.
