We are delighted to announce that we have been invited to appear as one of the experts in the Care Edition of The Parliamentary Review, showcasing the organisation's best practice as a learning tool to the public and private sector, in particular to leading policymakers/executives in the care sector. Last year a small number of outstanding organisations were chosen to appear alongside the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and the Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care, in a document aimed at sharing knowledge and raising standards. Each organisation wrote 1,000 words, sharing their best practice as a learning tool to peers within their industry and to the country at large
The key idea is to demonstrate how determined leadership and innovative thinking can turn around care homes, hospices or institutions and to highlight how organisations/individuals have become outstanding leaders in their field. The contributors thus act as a template for reform.
Last year saw Philip Hammond, Andrea Sutcliffe (Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care) and a number of cabinet & senior ministers participate in the Review along with numerous other leading officials from a variety of different industries. In total the Review has twelve separate editions which are based on key policy areas. E.g. Education, Manufacturing, Finance etc...
The Review will be introduced by journalist and broadcaster Andrew Neil, and it will consist of a review of the year in care and Westminster with a number of contributing articles from leading executives in healthcare. The review of the years are written by Ben Clover (HSJ) and Mark D'Arcy (BBC's Parliamentary correspondent).
The 2017 Care Edition will be sent out to over 35,000 leading policymakers including MP's, Peers at the House of Lords, the CQC, Care Home directors, relevant figures in the NHS, GPs in the local areas of our representatives, local community groups, local government officials, government agencies and many more. The total distribution across all policy areas is 250,000.
