👰🏻A Glimpse Behind the Veil - Elopement Edition👰🏻

I have had so much fun planning elopements with gorgeous couples from places like America, Germany, even Kuwait! Its always an incredible feeling knowing each of them put total faith in me to make their Welsh weddings come true 💚

And I do everything I can to make their ceremony planning as stress-free as possible, but how? 🤔

Video calls are an incredible tool for chatting with couples all over the world 🌍 They give me a chance to get to know who I'm writing about, but also buts the couple at ease knowing who they're putting their faith in.

Time and again I hear how my chilled, down-to-earth approach puts couples completely at ease, and that's music to my ears! 😀🙌

With direct cremations at an all time high, many families are left feeling they aren't getting the closure they need - something a funeral provides 😔😔

🤔What Are Direct Cremations? 🤔

This is when someone dies and instead of people gathering for a funeral, they are cremated without anyone present and their ashes are returned to their family.

Funerals are an important part of our culture as they give us the time and space to acknowledge the passing of someone we love as we reflect on their time and their presence on this earth. They are also an important part in our grieving process, giving a feeling of closure which allows us to take that next step without our loved one knowing they are now at peace and we have done all we can for them.

🤔Why Are Direct Cremations So Popular?🤔

There are a number of reasons for this, and ultimately comes down to personal preference. The more popular reasons are:

💚 Financial - Some don't like the idea of their loved ones being left with a large bill to pay for their funeral after they die. Direct cremations are a cheaper option

💚Emotional - Some believe a funeral would be too difficult for their loved ones and don't like the idea of a room filled with people mourning their death

🤔What Is A Memorial Service?🤔

A memorial service is held after a direct cremation has taken place where people gather to celebrate the life of the person who has died. Their life story is told, happy memories made with them, things they enjoyed an achieved, people they were closest too and to give thanks for everything they brought to the lives of everyone there 💚
