💜 Thank You from Archway Recovery 💜
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our first sober festive Brothers & Sisters evening possible at Rhyl Town Hall. It was a really special night — built on generosity, service, and unity.
This event was many months in the making, with a lot of preparation happening quietly behind the scenes. It could not have happened without the kindness, support, and willingness of so many people coming together.
Our sincere thanks to:
• Morrisons (Marsh Road, Rhyl) for the kind gift card
• Gloria Pitstop for her generous cheque donation towards the event
• Richard Kendrick for donations for our drinks station
• Leanne Fiveash for her kind donation of bottled water and shortbread
• Denbighshire Leisure for allowing us to hire the Town Hall and for the beautiful Christmas tree
• Sussex Street Church for lending us the hot water urn
• Margaret, who worked tirelessly to provide a wonderful buffet — her care and generosity truly blessed the evening
• A heartfelt thank you to Louie’s sister for the delicious homemade brownies and cupcakes — they were so appreciated
Vicky from Blossom & Bloom for the grateful donation of coffee / teabags and sugar.
• Gareth (DJ Jackie Baxter), who generously gave his time and talent to DJ the evening, creating a great atmosphere and bringing energy and joy to the room
• Sue, our director, who served so faithfully throughout the night, running the drinks station and helping pack away with such care
• Tom, our treasurer, for quietly overseeing the finances and budget for the event
• Samantha and Elissa for helping set up and organise the table displays and stations so beautifully
• Paul Denton for offering his services to cover security
• Annette (Netti) for capturing the evening so thoughtfully through photos
• Eve for being on site as our first aider
• Amanda for the lovely keyring gifts for our team
• Everyone who helped with set-up, packing away, and all the practical jobs that made the evening run smoothly
• Our team members’ family and friends who came along to support — thank you for standing with us
• And every Archway team member who welcomed people with warmth, compassion, and service throughout the night
We also want to acknowledge the teamwork and commitment it took to bring this evening together — from Archway’s co-founders Natalie and Conor, alongside the wider team — all with one heart and one purpose: to create a safe space for people in recovery.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along. Your presence showed that recovery is possible, and that sober social spaces truly matter.
This was the first of many. Archway Recovery will be planning more sober Brothers & Sisters events next year — creating safe, non-judgemental spaces where people in recovery, those still struggling, and family and friends can come together without drugs, alcohol, or gambling.
We know social situations can feel uncomfortable in recovery. Our heart is to create something different — a place where people feel safe, seen, heard, and understood, and can enjoy connection, music, and community together.
“Let all that you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:14🙏
Thank you for being part of something new in the heart of Rhyl 🤍
