May has been a whirlwind month at RCS, here are some of the things we’ve been up to:

✔ Had a fantastic day at the Wellbeing Day at Coleg Cambria – Deeside, meeting many students and young people. It was great to have meaningful conversations and to share the support available at RCS.

✔ Hosted focus groups for EDI (Equality, Diversity, Inclusion) website project, gathering valuable insights to help shape an inclusive recruitment website for people with disabilities and additional needs.

✔ Our Go Gwyrdd (Green Careers) team kept the momentum going with employer information sessions, sharing project updates and new opportunities. The next date is Tuesday 3rd June 1pm – 2pm, email: gogwyrdd@rcs-wales.co.uk to register.

All this while continuing to deliver training and support people across all our programmes! We can’t wait to see what summer brings.

Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week is a powerful reminder to celebrate organisations that are actively creating fairer, more inclusive environments for both employees and the people they support.

This week highlights the importance of various industries across the board, both private and public, and emphasises the need for reviews of policies to ensure that they are moving in the right direction to promote equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) within these businesses.

At RCS, EDI isn’t just a conversation — it’s something we’re building. We’re developing an inclusive recruitment platform designed to help people with disabilities and additional needs find meaningful, accessible jobs.

We are incredibly proud to have supported the Eryri National Park Authority to strengthen staff wellbeing.

By introducing Wellbeing Champion and managers training, yoga, walking clubs and more, they have seen a real shift toward an open and supportive culture where staff feel confident connecting and helping one another.
