Do not underestimate the impact of your traumatic childbirth experience on motherhood and life beyond baby’s arrival.
If you are struggling to come to terms with your traumatic birth experience, you are NOT alone. Up to 45% of women report experiencing some degree of trauma, and an estimated 30000 women per year will develop PTSD following birth.
For most women, the experience will arise directly out of the sense of disempowerment they may feel during their labour and birth, rather than the pain or duration of the birth. How we are treated- the level of respect, sensitivity, space, removal of pressure or coercion is crucial to ensuring trauma is not created. Unfortunately, for many of us, this is the opposite of what we experience, and we are falsely led to believe that we do not have choices- which legally- we alway do!!
Having another baby after such an experience can be a triggering and often terrifying experience, bringing up all the memories and fears of a previous birth, making it impossible to relax into and enjoy our pregnancy.
If this is you, or even if you aren’t planning another baby, I might be able to help. Using a range of techniques designed to bring a sense of release of past trauma and renewed empowerment to you, I can help you to make peace with your previous birth, and prepare for a transformative and truly empowered birth, if that is on the horizon, which has the potential to bring with it, healing.
Using personalised frequencies via the HEALY and MagHealy device, sound therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, as well as personally tailored Natal Hypnotherapy techniques, I can work with you to help you on the journey to healing, whether you are pregnant again or not.
Get in touch with me, Katie, for a free 20 minute consultation via Zoom, to discuss your needs and see if the approach sounds right for you.
You are so much more powerful than your experiences may have you believe. 🥰
