Role Title: Field Care Supervisor
Base: Richmond Head Office (2 Days) and in Clientโs Homes
Type: Full-time position

Purpose of Role
As a Field Care Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, complex, and specialist care while supervising and mentoring our team of carers. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the clinical aspects of care and training to ensure our clients receive exceptional support.
Working closely with your team, you will help maintain and enhance our specialist homecare services. This role offers a dynamic balance of office work (2 days at our Richmond Head Office) and fieldwork in clients' homes, allowing you to make a significant impact while advancing your career.

Duties & Responsibilities
Job Purpose
ยท Supervise care staff teams.
ยท Deliver training to staff in practice, assessing competency using a structured approach.
ยท Supervise the delivery of high-quality care for your caseload of clients in their homes.
ยท Provide mentorship, supervision, educational, and practice support to your care staff teams in their places of work.
ยท Actively participate in the direct care of your clients in their homes, providing safe, effective, high-quality, and compassionate care.
ยท Be part of the on-call rota as required.
Care, Therapy, and Management
ยท Actively case manage clients and their care and staff teams to monitor and address all issues or changes, ensuring holistic and client-centred care.
ยท Act as a role model in all clinical practice, demonstrating compassionate and dignified care, and upholding the principles of patient safety, privacy, and dignity.
ยท Promote positive risk management and use clinical experience and judgment.
ยท Work flexibly within the clientโs home environment according to their wishes.
ยท Recognise any changes in the patientโs condition, acting appropriately using clinical judgment.
ยท Ensure care plans, activities, and risk assessments are accurate and reflective of the needs of the client caseload.
Training and Development
ยท Responsible for care staff training and assessment.
ยท Track clinical skill and client-specific training, following up where required.
ยท Deliver training to staff in practice and in the office, assessing competency using a structured approach and documenting outcomes.
ยท Accountable for your own professional practice, responsible for acquiring, developing, and maintaining competencies and skills.
ยท Recognise and address your own limitations and learning needs by organising training, accessing available courses, and learning from other professionals.
ยท Work collaboratively with staff, supporting them through the assessment process.
ยท Interpret best practices from experience, colleagues, and networking, applying them to promote safe, caring, and effective care.
ยท Support staff and provide a safe environment for all aspects of care supervision, reflection, and spot checks to aid learning and development.
ยท Address poor practice sensitively, following up with training and action plans.
Information Technology & Administration
ยท Learn to use various innovative company care, communications, and technology systems.
ยท Process accurate information, document, and update relevant care systems.
ยท Manage your own diary around role commitments, ensuring quality targets are met.
ยท Actively engage with the development and use of company systems to aid the provision of high-quality care for clients and create a supportive and responsive environment for all staff.
Communication
ยท Communicate, deliver, and present training plans to staff at all levels.
ยท Be approachable and facilitate trusting and supportive relationships with staff.
ยท Forge strong partnerships with staff and form strong teams.

ยท Adapt communications to suit the learner, client, and need.
Experience and Attributes
ยท Share company values.
ยท Passionate about high-quality care.
ยท Previous Field Supervision, mentoring or training experience.
ยท Proficient in spoken and written English
ยท Confident to drive in UK with valid Driving license, preferably with access to own car
ยท Organised, efficient, and driven to help the team maintain high standards.
ยท Have a can-do and flexible working style and able to work well under pressure.
ยท Proficient in using a range of computer and app systems.
ยท Adept at using new apps and quick to learn how they work together.
ยท Excellent organisational and communication skills.
ยท Comfortable in peopleโs homes and able to adapt to a non-clinical environment.
