Make Up Tuition 1-1 💄

The next step after showing Itsu how to apply her foundation was to guide her in contouring.

Contouring and highlighting the face creates definition, depth and enhances our features.

Using a darker bronzer or contour powder or cream, Itsu wanted me to show her how to slim her nose or as she says, make it look “taller” 🤣 but what she means is to create a more slimmer look.

The secret to is to always keep it natural, no harsh lines and blend, blend, blend.

Make Up 1-1 with Itsu 💥

Starting this lesson, with skin already clean, moisturised and ready to go, I guide lovely Itsu with the first step, foundation.

Why foundation?

Think of this product as your base or like an artist uses a ‘canvas’ to build a work of art, your make up needs this for a smoother, more even application.

Of course, if you are not a lover of foundation, opting for your favourite CC, BB cream as a base can have a similar effect but just know, gone are the days of thick, ‘Polyfiller’ foundations.

1-1 Make Up Tuition with a Natural Style Personality who never wears make up. 🌈

My beautiful client, Itsu, rarely wears any make up but as a professional therapist she now would like to enhance her look and personal style to feel more aligned and feel more professional.

Apart from giggling our way through this session, it was so lovely to help guide her step by step through the process of make up application.

Aside from not being a make up wearer, for many women they also may feel stuck in the past and still doing make up the same as in their 20’s and younger years. Metallics illuminate!!! ⭐️✨⭐️✨

As the second step in the process, I ❤️ using metallics to identify if a new client is warm or cool.

What does this mean?

🌈 gold is warm
🌈 silver is cool

Using the two metallic drapes here together my client, Itsu, can clearly see that the bright silver drape works better to:

Colour analysis with lovely Itsu!

The first step of the process is to ascertain if someone is a warm, cool or neutral 🌈

For those unaware, when it comes to colour, warm colours have a yellow undertone and cool have a blue undertone. Its based on the science of colour and like I often explain to a new client, think of when choosing paint for your house…warm or cool toned paint. Weird analogy I know but it seems to help a client ‘click’ to how it all works.

Using the indicator cool and warm drapes as in the video, it helps me and the client see before our eyes what works best so that we create a harmonious, even look.

What am I looking for?

🌈 harmony with the complexion
🌈 brighter eyes
🌈 less darkness to the under eyes
🌈 defined lip line
🌈 less shadowing around mouth, chin & jawline
🌈 illumination and a lifted look to the face
🌈 colours that flow with natural brow, lash and hair colour

Itsu is definitely a Cool which means blue undertones work best in clothing, make up, hair colour and accessories.

The next step will be finding her ultimate, so she can now rock her personal style and look. 👀🤩

I think this is affecting many here in England at the moment, especially with the colds and flu's going around.

It is important to take time for yourself, be kind to yourself with warming, healthy nutrition, some nice calming, warm baths and some time out to yourself to feel grounded and at peace.

As we move deeper into December, many people notice their energy shift. Slower days can feel harder, especially when everyone else seems full of festive excitement.

If you're experiencing seasonal heaviness, remember there’s nothing wrong with you. Your body and mind are responding to real changes in light, pace and expectations.

Taking small daily pauses helps soften the edges and reconnect you to a sense of calm.
