We are recruiting a service manager to lead our new office in Oxford. We are looking for a motivated, ambitious and experienced manager to spearhead the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing teams of care assistants and care coordinators
• Picking up care packages and assessing clients
• Organising and managing the care of the clients
• Liaising with family members
• Ensuring that all policies and procedures are implemented
• Recruitment, training, monitoring and evaluation of staff
• Liaising with key stakeholders like CQC and the Local Authority
• Offering support and leadership to the team
• Working with and reporting to the directors of the company

Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum qualification of Registered Manager Award or QCF Level 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Social Care
• Degree related to social care or nursing is desirable
• Knowledge of the CQC
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a care manager or deputy manager
• Be able to demonstrate the values and behaviours for good leadership in social care

We are looking for a dedicated care coordinator to work with our registered manager at our Oxford office. The role is essential to the delivery of excellent care to our clients. You will be someone driven by a desire and passion for quality care provision. The right candidate will be given an opportunity and support to progress on to be a registered manager.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Working with and assisting the care manager to deliver excellent care;
• Admin duties in the office like answering phones and attending to queries from clients and their families;
• Coordinate the activities of the care workers using software and manage payroll;
• Providing on-call cover once in two weeks;
• Assist the manager with client assessments, creation and reviewing of care plans;
• Monitoring and supervising care workers;
• Updating families and attending meetings with families, local authorities and other health care professionals;
• Updating and maintaining databases of clients and files of carers;
• Assist in the recruitment, induction and training of carers;
• Ensuring compliance with CQC, local authority and company policies and procedures.

Person Specification:

• At least 1 year experience as a care coordinator/team leader/supervisor;
• Hands on experience as a care assistant is essential;
• Well organised and be able to work independently;
• Demonstrated leadership skills;
• IT skills: Word, Excel, databases;
• Be able to multitask and work under pressure;
• Be able to deal with client queries;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable. Or should demonstrate a desire to obtain one;
• Valid UK driving licence.
