I do this for HIFU treatments so that I can make sure I'm keeping track of where I have treated and where I haven't. It helps with the effectiveness of treatment. The applicator itself only has a certain treatment window so I want to make sure I've covered everything within that treatment windows all over the face.

If you haven't heard of HIFU, it is a non surgical face lift that we offer and it helps lift and firm the skin. It does this by stimulating collagen. It delivers amazing results and is the perfect way to get visible tightening with minimal downtime.

I hear a lot of SPF myths so it's time to debunk a few of these.

1. Although people with darker skin do not burn in the sun as easily as people with lighter skin, it doesn’t mean that you aren’t exposed to the damaging effects of the sun. They still need SPF

2. Ultraviolet light is present all year round, regardless of how sunny it it. So SPF is required all year round

3. When combined with a foundation or moisturiser, the protection of the SPF is essentially watered down and therefore does not give you the protection you need.

One of the things I’ve learnt is being a mum is hard work so one of the best gifts I can receive or give has to be just a little bit of me time for any mum. It really does a world of good, you can’t pour from a empty cup after all.

Does laser hurt? I get asked this question quite a bit. With the way that laser hair removal has moved on it's now not very painful at all. At most is a bit of discomfort.
