For young people who experience emotions intensely, these moments at home can feel overwhelming for both teens and parents. That’s why we’re excited to be running a 12-week DBT-A Skills Group starting this June.
Our DBT-A group is designed for young people aged 15–21 and a parent/caregiver, supporting families to learn and practise skills related to:

• emotional regulation
• communication
• distress tolerance
• relationships
• mindfulness

The group creates a supportive space to learn tools together (because we recognise the important role relationships and support systems can play for young people).
If your young person struggles with big emotions, conflict, impulsivity, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed, DBT-A may be a helpful support.
To learn more or inquire about the June intake, please reach out to our team.

You're holding it together on the outside... but inside it's a lot.

Some people experience emotions as intense, confusing, or out of control.

Our DBT-A group uses evidence-based therapy to help you build skills to:
• make sense of what you’re feeling
• get through overwhelming moments
• handle stress without things spiralling
• communicate what you need more clearly

📍 Ringwood | 12 weeks starting June

Want to know more? Reach out or chat with a parent/caregiver about whether this could be a good fit for you.

*This program may not be suitable for everyone and is not a crisis service. If you need immediate support, please contact emergency services.

How it started... and how it's going! Last Friday, a number of our team got together to connect with eachother, reflect on our services and put ourselves in our client's shoes. It was a wonderful afternoon capped off with a photoshoot, recreating an image from 1912 taken outside our very building 🏡

At Solid Rock Psychology we track outcomes to understand how things are going and guide therapy in the most helpful direction.

• adjust therapy when needed
• stay accountable to effective care
• keep therapy collaborative
Because the goal isn’t just showing up to therapy — it’s making sure it’s actually helping.
