I always think twice when telling people on the that I’m a . This is an example of a patient who I’m (currently) married to 😳. Here, the clever use of silipos and K tape allows this pilgrim to carry on, pain free (for her at least!)😆
However, even when you know what is best, when walking 300km in 14 days something has to give. I just hope it’s not my marriage!🤣

Spending time with good friends we met in 2014 on Camino and meeting new friends. Walking is such a powerful way to connect. It allows open and reflective conversation which always goes deep, but without the weight!!! (Very important when walking the Camino). Has anyone else has had moments like this?

Helping people is a joy! We loved helping you with your foot issue and are proud to see you completed your challenge…and then some! It’s a privilege Sally Orange (MBE 🤩)

🏃🏽‍♀️ Sally Orange, MBE is a former British Army Major, multi record-breaking adventure athlete, passionate mental health campaigner and inspirational speaker 🗣️

In Feb 2023, Sally became the first female veteran and 5th British woman to complete the World Marathon Challenge consisting of running 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 consecutive days, whilst raising funds and awareness for seven different charities 7️⃣

Given the world over is struggling now more than ever with it’s mental health following the pandemic, Sally wanted to take the importance of breaking the stigma of mental illness quite literally all round the world 🌎

During training for this epic challenge, Sally sustained a stress fracture in her foot preventing her from running and reached out to us for expert help… 🦶🏽

“I was incredibly grateful to be able to have a state-of-the-art Footscan assessment at Footfocus Podiatry to determine exactly what the best management was, given the enormity of my upcoming challenge.

As soon as my Phits 3D-printed orthotics arrived, I felt much more confident in my foot and that I would be able to complete the challenge I had set myself. They served to offload certain structures in my foot and enhanced my ability to train without pain.

I took the same pair quite all around the world and used them in the freezing temperatures of Antarctica to the sizzling temperate of Miami.

They got me round every marathon with no pain in my foot and I still wear them to this very day.” 👣
